We stayed on the edge of the Marina, overlooking the MarMenor, this was very pretty, with all the boats moored there.
All around the marina are restaurants, catering for every taste from French to Mexican, with the traditional Spanish as well of course. Eating out was realtively cheap, there were more expensive restaurants along LaManga.
One tip we were given when we were there was that eating out at lunchtime is better than in the evenings as you can choose Dish of the Day which usually costs around a fiver for at least two courses.
The development where we stayed consisted of several apartment blocks and villas, most of them privately owned. Some of them were rented out but mainly they were owner occupied, many by German people.

! The infrastructure is good, with all roads well signposted. Each area has it?s own ?village? with bars, shops and restaurants etc.
The area is truly international, since, as rumour had it, that Swiss investors had bought a whole chunk of land to the southern end of the estate. This encompasses many shops etc, as well as the south course.
The Hotel is magnificent and is superbly decorated and well furnished. Although I have not stayed in it, the reports I have received about it from friends are excellent. The rooms are comfortable and prices not too over the top.
The apartments vary from perfectly ok, to plush. Apartments and villas range from GBP295.00 ? GBP895.00 per week. The ones I have stayed in have tended to be at the lower end of this price range, but have all been tastefully furnished, with many Spanish features. Bedrooms and bathrooms ...
I love Hyatt hotels and LaManga is no exception. I have also reviewed this in more detail on Trip Advisor.
LAs Lomas is the apartment complex owned by the Hyatt group at LaManga. Superb accommodation, great facilities, but pricey.
Recommend the Freedom packages if you are going to play golf or tennis. To be honest I wouldn't go there if it wasnt to play golf as there are nicer parts of Spain which are much better value.
Golf is fabulous, in particular the South copurse which will rtest the best golfers, frustrating most.
Food -- higly recommend Amapola in the hotel.
Si! is a good place to take the kids as it has a safe play area right next to the dining room. ...
