The Apollo Hotel is located in the Bayswater area, with lots of local amenities and within walking distance of the heart of London. There are lifts serving all floors and there...

Have just return from a short break in London, when booking the aim was to do it whilst spending as little as possible for good accomadation.
We booked the Apollo which was only £55 per room per night for a triple room booked through easyjethotels. We know that you get what you pay for most of the time and only really needed somewhere to rest.

First impression:
Reception was a bit shabby and the receptionist was on the phone throughout the whole checking in process

On arrival:
As we arrived just before midday we were informed that our room wouldn't be available until 1400hrs (we knew this when booking) but we where welcome to leave our luggage in the reception so we could start our sight seeing.

Rooms:
As expected the room was cramped standard room size with extra beds put in it. Actually had room for 4 people to sleep but not really to move. Bathroom was very small but did have both a bath and shower however at peak times the hot water did run out. The curtains where falling of the rail and room needed a lick of paint. Generally looked quite clean. Beds weren't the most comfortable but after a days running around Londons top attractions I could have slept on a washing line! The room did have tea and coffee making facilities but one of the cups had a crack running right through it and another had a large chunk missing. Our room was next to the lift which became operational on our second day the down side to this was that every time the lift arrived on our floor it made an extremely loud ding-dong.
On the whole this hotel is ideal for those on a tight budget, and just wanting a basic place to sleep. It is centrally located just of the Bayswater road near to Queensway and Bayswater underground stations serving the circle, district and central lines. Be aware theat Quensway station will close in May 05 and not re-open until May 06 which takes away the easy access to the central line.
OK for the price paid. Would'nt have paid any more for it.
