Before reading this review. A warning that it's not just a Hotel review. It is A Hotel Resort review about this Hotel and it actually belonging to it's own resort, being all inclusive, having it's very own Fantasy Aqua Park, private beach and countless activities, just incase you think it's long and boring lol. I have never written this type of review before either, but wanted to share this amazing Holiday I had with everyone. You never know though after reading this, you might go and book yourself a week or two here. Well happy reading folks.
REASONS FOR BOOKING AQUA FANTASY HOTEL RESORT TURKEY Summer 2008. Well here in the UK it had continually rained for two months and it was nearing the end of July and I really was fed up with the bad weather. Every single day. Rain! I had never seen anything like it before. I was so fed up that, I decided to go online and look for a Holiday away in the sun. I could not bare to see anymore rain. There was lots of last minute deals I remember, but I had been to most places and I really felt so sorry for my two youngest daughters then aged 11yrs and 12yrs, as they could not even go outside to play, so I really wanted something to suit them both also, as I was including them in this Holiday with me.
Well I searched for hours that day and came up with what I found, to be a somewhat different Holiday experience from what my family where used to. It was a family packed entertainment holiday to a five star all inclusive hotel in Kusadasi Turkey and it sounded exactly what I was looking for. A break in the sun for me and my husband and a huge onsite Aqua park for my two young daughters. Excellent! No cooking involved for me also. Sounded like Heaven.
Well this holiday package was a late offer. The flight out to Turkey was in five days time. I thought maybe it was too short notice for us to prepare, or for my hubby to get time of work, but I decided to price it up anyway. Well I seen this Holiday offer, online with First Choice Holidays and they have a free online website, that you just need to type in how many of you are going in your group, ages of everyone and how long you wish to stay. Well I soon had this filled in and was quoted (by the online calculator) that it was costing just over £2,700. This was the price I was getting for just one weeks stay in this resort. I thought it quite a lot at the time, but when my Husband came in from work, he said "Well it's a Five star Hotel with all Drinks, food and even ice-cream for the girls included and he told me to go ahead and book it. He was sick looking at the rain also.
Well my Sister-in-law works for First Choice Holidays and my hubby give her a ring to see if she could book it for us (as she gets commission) and also, she always manages to get something knocked of the price for us. Well we left it with her and within an hour she was back with her discounted price of £2,300 including insurance. Well my hubby and I where both well pleased with this price. She really had saved us a lot of money, this time on this Holiday. Well we where set for one week in Aqua Fantasy Hotel Resort Turkey, five days after booking it with our credit card and we where really excited also.
I did a lot of research on this Hotel that night and found mostly great feedback about it all. I was worried though about all-inclusive, as I had never done this before, as I had heard bad reports from friends and was also slightly worried about having fixed times for meals etc, as I wanted to have a lie in on holiday, not get up early for Breakfast. Also I was slightly worried about the range of food etc they would have, but everything else about this Hotel Resort sounded wonderful indeed.
Well we managed to sort everything out and on the 2nd of August 2008 we headed of early to the Airport for our long flight from Belfast to Bodrum Airport in Turkey. Everything went smoothly with the flight and we where picked up in Bodrum by the First Choice Reps and loaded onto our Coach for Kusadasi and Aqua Fantasy. We where told it was just over an hours transfer from the Airport, but it certainly was not. It took just over two hours to finally reach Aqua Fantasy Hotel Resort, as once we hit Kusadasi we had to drop of lots of different people to many Hotels and of course Aqua Fantasy was the last stop that night.
ON FIRST ARRIVING AT AQUA FANTASY RESORT TURKEY. Well finally we arrived at Aqua Fantasy resort. Of course my daughters and their newly made friends from the coach, all cheered as we drove around the last bend of the night and saw the huge sign of "Aqua Fantasy" that stood out on the hillside. It was dark and around 2.00am, but we drove down into this what seemed an enormous complex and we were really pleased with how clean and exciting it looked. Of course the Children all wanted to see the water park, but it was so dark that I had to tell them it was closed until morning time.
The coach pulled up to the huge voyeur of the Aqua Fantasy Hotel. What a beautiful place this is, I thought to myself. I think I am going to love it hear. First impressions where very pleasing to me. All are suitcases where taken of the coach and we easily found them in the voyeur. We lined up at the reception and where very well treated and guided by lots of different people from the hotel. Some where giving us these lovely bright blue plastic wrist bands to put on so the Hotel staff knew we where staying there as all inclusive (red for children) and others where taking our names etc of our group. We handed over a small deposit for our safety deposit box and where also given an Aqua Fantasy credit card to use in the shops and after hours when the all inclusive had ended at 11.00pm. I think the amount on this card was limitless (you just paid your bill when you wanted to or when checking out. I thought to myself we probably will not need to use this, but boy was I wrong. Well after a short wait we where given room numbers and a bell boy took our cases for us and told us he would have them delivered to our room in about 10 minutes time. Of course we wanted to look around and spotted the swimming pools, restaurants etc all beautifully lit up. It really was a five star Hotel indeed! I also could not believe how spotless everything all was also. The voyeur itself was huge. The design was excellent and there was plenty of plush leather sofas and quality modern furniture. The floors where in polished marble and the lighting even caught my eye. What a beautiful place indeed!
OUR HOTEL ROOM Well it must of taken My husband and I about 10 minutes to find our Hotel room. The corridors where dimly lit, but easily flowed and where well sign posted for all the different room numbers. There was also plenty of lifts to use that where all very modern inside and brightly lit up. Well we followed the arrows and finally came to our door number. It was a downstairs room at the bottom of the newly built complex of the hotel. We used our keycard that reception had given us to swipe the door open and where very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely carpeted room (yes carpet) It was quite a dimly lit room I thought, but it sure was spotless. The room we had booked was called a junior room. It was spilt into two rooms by beautiful walnut, but partially glassed, sliding doors. Well not a lot of privacy from my two daughters with the glass, but it still separated us from each other. In our part of the room was a large double (and very comfortable) bed with very fresh laundered, crisp white sheets on it. We had two matching walnut bedside cabinets with sidelights also and they where very modern. These where handy I thought for all our smaller belonging. On the wall opposite our double bed was a large display unit that was really very modern indeed. In fact I would of loved one for my bedroom at home. It was finished in walnut and had, three spacious drawers in it, one cupboard for storage a dressing table part and at the far side was a place for the satellite and Television we had use of for free. The whole unit had a huge mirror that reached from one end to the other which was great as my daughters and myself had loads of room for styling and making ourselves look good there. This unit had handy little side lights also for when needed. We also found in the drawers a little welcome pack of notebooks with the Hotels name on it, a pen, a sewing kit and some matches.
The other part of our dividing room had two nicely laundered single beds in it for my two daughters and a little white round table for them to set their belongings on. There was room for their cases and a good gap between their beds. This room was ideal for them I thought. On the wall we had plenty of plug sockets for our electrical goods, we had brought and the air conditioning control also, which worked really well indeed I thought. Our room was always cooler and was a pleasure to go back to everyday from the hot temperatures outside. At the back of my daughters room partition, was two fully glassed patio doors that opened out onto a good sized, modern ground floor patio area, but it was slightly raised of the ground and had a beautiful modern stainless steal railing around it. On the patio was a lovely silver/glass modern table and four matching chairs. We also had a little clothes airer for hanging towels etc on, which was a good thought and I found it very useful.
The bathroom in our hotel room was a good size. It was tiled in beautiful white modern tiles and had a great working shower over the bath. Yes! We had a bath and I loved this. The water was always hot also and I don’t remember it every running cold. One of my daughters hates showers, so this kept her happy also that we had a bath. On the opposite side of the room, the wall had a very modern bowled shape sink that sat on the counter top with a beautiful, modern stylish tap. A huge mirror that was backlit was also fitted above it. We had a shaver point and a useful hairdryer also, that was connected to the socket just outside the bathroom door.. Underneath the sink unit, was a large fitted walnut cupboard, that matched the style of the whole room and it was great having this for all our shampoos and suntan lotion to be hidden away. Of course we had a modern silver towel rack with plenty of towels to use. These where changed every other day, but we never ever ran out of them. Of course, being five star we had a little goody basket of toiletries to use. It was filled with shampoo, conditioners, bath oil, shower gel and soaps. It was also, topped up every other day and the products in this where all great quality ones indeed. Personally I thought the bathroom could of had better lighting in it myself. Well the toilet and bathroom was immaculate. It even smelt really nice also which was quite surprising.
We also noticed in our room a little minibar fridge that had everything you could think of from alcoholic drinks, water and even chocolate bars. The price list for everything was clearly written on the door. We only used the mini bar once for my daughters, as I thought it very expensive. Also in our Hotel room was a long corridor that led to the door. On the left hand side we had a huge wall to wall fitted, modern walnut wardrobe. There was plenty of coat hangers also and even enough space once I had unpacked our clothes, for the suitcases to fit into this. I thought this an excellent storage idea indeed. The only thing with it being sort of in the corridor part of our room, I found it very dark, even with the light on and hard to find our clothes. Also in this wardrobe was extra pillows and blankets if we needed them.
Well we had full satellite TV included in our room and also a telephone. We found a welcome letter and an entertainment booklet that listed all the nightly shows, restaurant, shop prices. sauna prices and everything we could rent out also. It was a great booklet I thought and even included a map of the whole resort as it was huge and it certainly came in very handy. We also found ash trays in our room and I had not booked a smoking room, as I thought I could just nip outside if I needed to smoke. This hotel does have smoking and non-smoking rooms though if you need to book them.
Overall the Aqua Fantasy Hotel room was quite spacey for the four of us. It really was spotless on arrival and every other day we had our sheets and towels changed and came back on many occasions to find rose petals and flowers all made into love hearts on our beds. It really was beautiful indeed. The maids did these designs and I have included photographs below. They even dressed my daughters bed in pink one day. They used flowers my daughters beads, earnings and clothes. It was just beautiful and of course the first thing we all did was look at each other when we saw this and grab the camera. My daughters still talk about this to all their friends. A lovely touch I thought that made us feel welcome and thought about.
I really would give the Aqua Fantasy Hotel room that we stayed in full marks out of ten. The beds where really comfortable (better than at home) the space of the room was excellent, the cleanliness was to the highest standard indeed (and I am very fussy myself) and the overall feel of the room itself was really homely indeed. The best Hotel room I have stayed in to date. This certainly is five star indeed! The only thing that did bother me was every morning we where woken very early by the huge heard of around 200 goats in the field at the back of our room, which had tin bells around their necks. Oh the mountain and sea views was beautiful from our patio, but the goats bugged the heck out of me.
THE AQUA FANTASY RESORT ITSELF The Aqua Fantasy Hotel is in it's own resort, has it's own private beach and water park. The water park is the biggest in Europe. The hotel sits in the middle of this resort and the Hotels rooms are situated off to the left and right of the main Hotel, in their own a joining complexes. It really is a huge place to stay and I was only finding things after one week of staying there. That’s how big this resort is. The hotel is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and everyday women gardeners are working hard keeping them this way. This hotel has a wide selection of restaurants, snack bars, beach bars, shops, a lobby bar, a swim up pool bar, terrace bars, a huge open buffet restaurants, an Italian restaurant, a seafood restaurant, bowling alleys, a games room, gyms, saunas and internet cafes. Of course it has excellent outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a great adult only pool at the back of the hotel, a children’s play park, tennis courts, a diving School, children’s pool with slides, water skiing (not free) paragliding (fee) football, volleyball courts, banana boats, pedalos (free) Turkish massage parlours (fee) and an outdoor amphitheatre where all the nightly entertainment took place. Well this place has everything you will ever need or dream off. I did not get to use half of these activities as one weeks stay was certainly not enough for us.
The swimming pools around the Hotel are generally quite busy. The main large pool has a swim up bar and a great children’s section. Of course it's surrounded by sun loungers, but I rarely used this pool myself. On down through the lovely gardens and little winding paths that flow around the complex is another great children’s pool with three small water slides. Daily activities, such as water polo and water aerobics are usually held here in the afternoon. At the front of the hotel beside the Aqua park is another great swim up bar pool, that I found quieter and set in beautiful landscaped gardens. At the back of the Hotel is a smaller adults only pool which looked very peaceful and seldom busy.
Of course we then have the famous Aqua Fantasy water park onsite. It is just at the front of the hotel and you will be searched on entering it as no food is allowed in there at all. Once you enter the Water Park it then becomes a paying place. No free drinks or food from the all inclusive side is allowed in here. If you want a drink here or a bite to eat, you really will be charged over the top for it. I used to send the children back out into our complex for drinks though. I did buy them drinks in the Water Park, but I really begrudged paying the prices. You can also use your Aqua Fantasy credit card in there and pay later at reception, so it saves carrying cash around at the water park.
Well Aqua Fantasy is like a mini Disney land on water. On entering the park you will soon notice the huge fantasy castle that houses the three highest water slides I have ever seen before. My first impression on it was how clean and beautifully landscaped it was with beautiful tall palms and many tropical plants that look like they where coming out of the water and pools. Well My daughters disappeared on me very quickly in the place, but it was not really busy on weekdays, so I did feel relaxed enough and they where slightly older and wiser. All around the park there is endless rows of sun-beds and umbrellas to use and nicely situated at the edges of the pools. This really is a beautiful place indeed. Its like a mini paradise and I think because the pools all run into one after another and also because they are surrounded by giant tropical plants gives you the feeling of being in another world. The waters a lovely temperature in the pools also and not too cold.
In Aqua fantasy there is a black whole water slide, that’s completely pitch black inside. There is also a huge bell tower that empties water on the people below in the queue, a fantastic wave pool that is shallow at one end and really reminds you of being in the sea. Also there is many children’s slides and a huge pirate ship with many water features for children to play with. Also at the back of the wave pool is a long lazy river which I really enjoyed myself in this water park. You just grab hold of a huge rubber ring and lie relaxed on it and let the gentle current of the river take you around it for about 15 minutes. I really enjoyed this everyday. The one pool I enjoyed best of all was the swim up bar pool. There’s nothing to beat a swim up bar in the hot sunshine. The Aqua Fantasy Hotel has a swim up bar, but in the Water Park the swim up bar is a huge pirate ship in design and the music played there is loud and tropical sounding coming from the bar, which is really relaxing and romantic also. Well Aqua Fantasy water park is the ideal places for children, but certainly entertains adults also.
Also in the Water Park is a few restaurants, changing rooms and shops, but they are expensive and if you stay all-inclusive you just need to walk across the gardens to the Hotels pool for the free drinks and snacks. Well overall an excellent water park that I will be returning to soon. It really is a huge added bonus to this Hotel and is the perfect holiday paradise for children and adults of any age in my opinion. One of my best Holidays ever. I lost nearly half a stone when I came back from Turkey with all the activities at Aqua Fantasy Water Park. This place has to been seen to be believed. Paradise.
Aqua Fantasy Hotel also has its own private beach. Although the sand is somewhat pebbly and there is seaweed there, the waters crystal clear and I still found it a quieter place to relax myself. It has a huge jetty with a little drinks hut at the end of it and is very relaxing and romantic to walk along in the evenings when the sun is going down. The beach has plenty of free sun loungers to use and there’s pedelos and banana boats that are free and for a small price you can jet ski and paraglide. I don’t know how much they cost, as I did not use them myself. Well your own private beach is great to have. Not many used this beach, so for a peaceful lie in the sun with your book, this one at Aqua Fantasy is perfect. There is also a little straw beach bar and drinks are all free here until 11.00pm. It has lovely wicker sofas to sit on at the beach in the evening, to watch the famous Turkey sunsets on. Paradise again!
ALL INCLUSIVE FOOD AT AQUA FANTASY HOTEL RESORT When we first arrived at Aqua Fantasy and checked in, we where asked if we would like a drink and some Midnight Soup. Well my daughter was hungry and thirsty from the long journey and we where escorted down the huge marble corridors, spotted some Hotel shops and into a huge, spotless buffet room. There laid out was soup tureens and nice fresh crusty bread. We helped ourselves to the inviting orange and water dispensers also. Well a welcoming snack that evening and a good thought from the staff.
The all inclusive meals at Aqua Fantasy start at 10.00am and last until 11.00pm We found Breakfast started around 8.30am, but the hot cooked buffet food was available from about 9.00am. Well on first seeing the restaurants (there are two buffet restaurants by the way) I was amazed at the size of them and the selection of food that was available. Nothing have I ever seen like it before in my life. On top of the chilled counters where rows of huge watermelons carved into flowers, cartoon characters and other objects. It was Paradise again! Goodness I was taken back with this. There was row after row of fruits, breads and I mean a bakery lol. Cereal was also available, milk and hot foot included, eggs of all descriptions, bacon, pancakes, beans, toasted breads, cheese the list is endless. It really was an excellent variety and if you wanted more or fancied a nibble of something different to try out you just helped yourself. Tea, coffee, orange juice and chilled water where all available also. An excellent buffet style breakfast that really was very fresh every single day and everything I tried was delicious. The cups, plates and cutlery where spotless by the way. Also a word of warning. When entering the Hotels restaurants‘, you cannot enter them in swimsuits or with no tops on. You have to be fully covered up. You can use the snack bars if you have just come from the beach/pools etc.
Lunch at Aqua Fantasy was served at the two snack bars available around the pools and not in the main restaurant. It started not long after breakfast ended. I guess this started early maybe for those who had lie ins etc. Well everyday homemade, stone baked pizza was served, straight from the ovens. Boy was it good also. Chicken was also roasted on spits and salads and French fries was available for the children. Hot dogs and burgers where also available everyday also. I have to admit, lunch was not my cup of tea, but my husband and daughters where in heaven. I did enjoy the hot roasted chicken though. From 10.00am also alcohol is free from the bars. It is all local drinks and wines, but the beer is excellent and so is the wine. Spirits are really very strong though, so beware! Coke, fanta, sprite is all free also, but you have to ask for it. I found they palmed the children of a lot with the diluted orange from the dispensers that where everywhere. Tea and coffee is also available all day also. You certainly will always be refreshed at Aqua Fantasy. Well lunch at the snack bars was usually a wet one as most of the chairs where wet from swimmers using them.
Free ice cream for under twelve’s was available everyday at around 2.00pm. Of course my daughters where first in line for it. I thought it would of been nice to offer this to adults though, maybe once a week. Well something for the children to look forward to at Aqua Fantasy Hotel. Also at around 4.30pm, at the smaller restaurant near the beach, coffee, biscuits and homemade donuts with honey was served and they where delicious. This restaurant was just outside our Hotel room, so we really ate a lot of homemade donuts from there. I liked using this little snack bar restaurant near the beach. I found it quieter than the pool ones and nice to have a coffee and just relax there. All plates, cups and cutlery is metal by the way and spotless.
Dinner at Aqua Fantasy was something else. It usually was served up at 8.00pm. We used to get nicely dressed up for dinner and walk along by the beach first, have a quick drink and watch the famous sunset. It really is the nicest sunset I have ever seen before, and I have visited lots of places in this world. This was a big thing every night at Aqua fantasy and everyone would be wanting you to take a photograph of them and their family with the spectacular sunset in the background. We used to walk up to the restaurants (there’s two) through the beautifully lit landscaped gardens and into the huge buffet room. The dinning tables where beautifully presented with flicking candles and crisp white linen. All your cutlery is laid out at dinner for you and of course it is spotless. Some of the dinning tables are outside on decked wooden terraces that sit above the water from the ponds around the hotel. You can get alcohol and wine for dinner also and bring it into the dinning areas.
Well the variety of food that is generously offered for dinner, is something I will never see again unless I return to Aqua Fantasy. I was shocked when I first seen it presented. You are welcomed into the restaurant by immaculately dressed staff and chiefs. The selection from the salad bar is amazing. Everything is carved and designed. You name it salad wise and it’s there for you. It's all presented so temptingly also and so beautifully. It really is so carefully prepared. Well I would have salad as a starter myself most nights and a few times I had melon also. You just need to pick up a plate and help yourself. Along side the salad bar was the hot food counter and every night the selection of rice dishes, stroganoffs, seafood, seafood pies, cooked, meats, steaks, chicken dishes just flowed along. Dish after dish. You are really where tempted to try a little spoonful of everything, just to see what it tastes like. Well I did when something new was served. I think it's rude not to really. The selection of freshly cooked vegetables, baby potatoes and French fries was also available to accompany main meals. There is also plenty of breads, cheeses, soups of every variety available at the dinner buffet.
Outside on the terraces chiefs also cooked, chicken and fish on a barbeque. It really was all freshly prepared food, but the only thing I found was that main dishes like meats and stroganoffs etc where not warn enough for me, but maybe that’s just because by the time I got outside of looked for bread etc it had gone cold. The dessert selection is like something from the Hassel And Gretel storybook. Never in my life have I seen, huge enormous cakes like this. The variety is endless also. Hundreds of different varieties of cake and all delicious too. I could not believe these cakes at all. Of course my daughters loved trying them out and as long as they ate their main meals I did not care at all. We where on Holiday of course.
There is also a huge selection of fruit available as starters or desserts. Aqua Fantasy grow all their own huge watermelons, as you can see them growing in the field at the side of this Hotel. They are all carved out into flowers at dinner and it really is very nice to look at indeed. I actually ate quite a lot of watermelon at Aqua Fantasy, as it was delicious. Of course other fruits are available also and tasted equally as great.
Well dinner at Aqua Fantasy is like a Modern medieval ball, I would say. The staff really feed you like a King or Queen. It really is an experience of a lifetime I can tell you. Overall the food, quality of food and variety get 10/10 at Aqua Fantasy. I have never seen anything like this in my life. It all tasted delicious also, was freshly cooked in my opinion and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the buffet restaurant also was lively and welcoming each and every night.
ENTERTAINMENT Well after dinner most nights we ended up at the outdoor amphitheatre just outside the restaurant. My daughters loved this as they usually started of with the children up on stage and dancing to various songs etc. The children’s entertainment lasted for over one hour and then was followed by a different show each evening. One night I remember there was a Turkish dancing night and it was really entertaining to watch. On another evening there was camels rides at the side of the amphitheatre and my daughters loved this. The entertainment at the amphitheatre was really great and more a family affair. A more livelier pop and disco style could always be found at the beach bar.
At the back of the Hotel is another large complex and there was a bar, snooker tables, table tennis an internet café, bowling alley and plenty of comfy chairs etc to relax there. My daughters liked to chill out here and meet their friends.
A few nights a week there was also a beach party for adults. We did not go to this as we had the girls with us, but I passed it one night and it looked great fun and seemed to have a great atmosphere.
Well we usually headed of to our Hotel room in the evening when my daughters got tired and the entertainment was usually still going on, but the Hotel rooms are situated back from where the entertainment was and it certainly could not be heard from our room which was great. Even at night in the corridors I never heard anyone making a racket or returning to their rooms.
Underneath the main Hotel foyer there is a small mall with around eight different shops. This is pleasant to visit in the evening time I found, as it is nice, cooler and not to busy. There is a lovely leather shop and I bought a few handbags there at a good price. There is a tee-shirt and clothes shop, a little souvenir shop that sells plenty of inflatable toys for the pools, a beautiful quality jewellery shop and a supermarket, which sells basically everything you need, although it is slightly more expensive than the local shops would be, but it is not too bad for prices.
OTHER SERVICES. Aqua Fantasy has a laundry service. You fill up a bag of dirty clothes and leave them out for the maids and these are washed and ironed for you and returned the next morning. This is a good service to have for a small fee. I did wash smaller items out by hand myself, like swimsuits etc and dried these on the clothes horse on the balcony.
Just off the voyeur in Aqua Fantasy you will find a few desks and all the different tour operators and reps can be found here in the mornings. This is handy if you have any problems or want to book one of the many trips that are on offer through the reps. I did not go on any of the trips, but my friends did, had a great time and I regretted it afterwards.
I would say Aqua Fantasy would be a great place for disabled people, those who use wheelchairs and even have small children in pushchairs. Aqua fantasy seems very well spaced out with plenty of room for everyone. There is plenty of ramps and lifts everywhere. The lifts are of a good size inside also.
Also in the Hotel there is a Doctor on call service also. Thankfully we did not to use this service but my friend had an allergic reaction to some mosquito bites and become very swollen. She was treated brilliantly and looked after very well without leaving the complex.
A baby sitting service and a room listening service is also available. I am not sure how much this service costs or how good it is, as I never used it myself.
LOCATION Aqua Fantasy resort is situated around 4 miles outside Kusadasi Turkey. It is a huge beach resort by itself, away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. A bus service runs right by the resort and with take you down to Kusadasi town for a very small charge. Local Dolmus mini buses are available also. We never used the bus services, but did use a taxi at around £6 one way, that can be ordered from reception and we went to Kusadasi town a few times (which is great for shopping and watching the huge cruise ships come in) There is plenty of little seafood restaurants also along the seafront and a lovely sandy beach can be found if you want to venture out of the Aqua Fantasy Resort. A huge market is also on in Kusadasi town on a Thursday which is worth visiting as it sells just about everything there and so cheaply.
The roads outside the Aqua Fantasy resort have no footpaths and are set on steep hills, right down into the town, so walking is not recommended and certainly is not safe, as the roads are very busy. Lots of police and some kurds are armed along the roadsides also because of fighting in a nearby area. This certainly is not off putting to me, but I would stick to taxis for travelling out of Aqua Fantasy. Aqua Fantasy is also a secured resort with checkpoints in and out of it and plenty of security inside the resort for guests safety, which to me was great as it made it a more safer and better place to stay at.
CHECKING OUT Checking out of Aqua Fantasy was the best experience I have ever had from a holiday experience. We have always been thrown practically out of our room before midday at other resorts on our last day and where always left with nowhere to go until the coach arrives, but in Aqua Fantasy we where allowed to stay in our rooms right up until the coach came. This was very good and allowed us to get changed in comfort for our long journey home.
Our cases where collected on a little buggy car and taken to the voyeur when we where ready to leave. On checking out my husband handed in our key card and we squared up our Aqua Fantasy credit card that we had used a few times, but we usually paid this off each morning as we did not want a huge bill on leaving. Everything was very easy and straightforward and the staff where just brilliant.
Well when our coach came to collect us on our final afternoon all the staff lined up at the windows of the voyeur, said goodbye to us all and waved to us boarding our coach. It really was a lovely send off indeed and quite sad really.
OVERALL OPINION Well if you have got this far at reading my long holiday review I am sure you can tell that my overall opinion of Aqua Fantasy is excellent. Thanks for reading it also. It really was the best holiday I have been on and I know my children loved it also, as they keep asking me when we are going back there again. Well hopefully very soon.
Aqua Fantasy has everything you really need in a holiday. It has a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, plenty do for all age groups, outstanding food, great entertainment and all in a beautiful setting really. I really was sad when our week was up at this resort and even enquired to my rep about staying for a further week, as one week was certainly not enough there, but unfortunately the flights the following week where all booked up. If you plan to go to Aqua Fantasy, please do book at least two weeks there. This place has plenty to do, lots to see and it takes one week to just find your bearings there.
I really would highly recommend a holiday at Aqua Fantasy resort. It is slightly more expensive and is probably the dearest holiday my family has been on, but seriously, it was worth every single penny. All our food and drinks where included and what a banquet it was. This was a great all inclusive in my opinion. The entertainment in the evenings was great also and overall it really is a beautiful place to stay. Aqua Fantasy really is a little bit special and I certainly think it is a great place for children also. My children had the time of there lives there and where not bored as there was so much on offer for them.
We went in August and I did not find the Hotel cramped or overfull. It is such a huge complex though with plenty of space for everyone and also there is many a quiet little corner there for you to be by yourself. My husband could not get over this place also and highly recommends it to his friends. I really think it would be hard to beat this place food wise. I really have never seen a spread at an evening meal, like it in my life. It really does have to be seen to be believed.
Well hopefully I am returning to Aqua Fantasy in 2010 with my eldest daughters and my Grandson. I cannot wait for them to see it also. I know they will love it here and will be pleasantly surprised at what they find. I honestly highly recommend this resort to everyone. You really will have a great time and an unforgettable holiday experience. A big thumbs up from me, my family and a full 5/5 for Aqua Fantasy. I have nothing to complain about. A first class holiday that we all really enjoyed and I certainly cannot wait to return there.
Aqua Fantasy Resort has it's own website also if you would like to have a look at this place http://www.aquafantasy.com/
