waiter service so you can sit back and relax. The service here is excellent and they are on the ball. You can also sit inside but it does get noisy and smokey. Even though EU rules say that smoking isn't allowed in cafes and restaurants you will still find in Portugal that these rules are broken. They are still, like the French - a little anarchic in their ways which makes them who and what they are - a charismatic and fascinating people.

dont go to the chinese restaurant in the centre of lagos! terrible service, cramped room with tables right beside each other and they laughed at us when we spoke!!!!!

I went to Lagos for a week with my boyfriend last summer. It was a brilliant experience! You pronounce Lagos as Lagosh. The currency is in Euros.
About an hours drive in the bus from Faro airport. Pleasant jouney in the Thomson bus provided. Brief tour involved in this journey as the holiday rep gives details on the area and interesting facts, I still remember that talk to this day.

Advantages: humoourous, imaginative and superbly written Disadvantages: slightly dark humour may not appeal to all
the unsuspecting populace to root out heresies and unbelievers.
The citizens of Cochadebajo delos Gatos continue to establish their idyllic neo-civilisation in the mountains, the ex-whores, ex-guerillas, de-frocked priest and giant black cats living their lives apart from the rest of the country. They entertain the British Ambassador, bring down a helicopter and finally come to a spectacular confrontation with the Inquisition.
I loved this book as much as Don Emmanuel and Captain Corelli, Louis de Berniers writing style is wonderful, his sense of humour is perverse and slightly black but very entertaining. The characters introduced in Don Emmanuel are here enlarged upon and we grow to love them even more, along with the new friends we meet.
