Two days before leaving, received telephone call changing hotel in Monte Catini. Arrived in Venice, overnight hotel had torn and stitched bedding, peeling paint and, to 60% of us, inedible, reconstituted meat products.
Hotel in Monte Catini now 1Km from center up a long hill NOT 200 metres from center on level. This created major problems for the wheelchair user and restricted mobility members of the party especially as tour buses were stopping at least 600 metres from the hotel.
Arrived in Limone, room in Hotel Splendide was in annexe - 12 feet sguare. Bathroom and main room were so small the bathroom could not have a door, only a folding curtain. This was supposedly a four star hotel. Complaints to resort manager ignored and she refused to talk to us.
This did not just happen to us but to three or four other parties on the same holiday.
Complaint to Archers office ignored - blamed us for "too high expectations!!!"
