Advantages: Peaceful & Very Clean Disadvantages: Cleaners start early!
Stayed here in sept 2007, Very friendly family run hotel, Sarantis is the man who owns the hotel, his daughter is called Georgia and his wife help run it. The bad reviews i read on the net prior to going here were unfounded. Within 12 hrs of arriving a boistrous group were removed from the hotel and the next two weeks were peaceful and pleasant. The studio apartments are nice, clean and adequately equiped. The family run bar is good fun with a karaoke night once a week. The pool is very clean with a jacuzzi, both a nice pale green salt water rather than blue chlorine. The hotel had recently undergone a large refurbishment. One downside was that the cleaners started early and were very thorough to the point where they woke us regularly. The main thing was that it is located just outside the hustle and bustle of the centre, but ...
Advantages: Proximity to resort Disadvantages: None that I could see
Having been in the position of reading bad reviews about the Sarantis I was expecting a holiday in hell - it was exactly the opposite! If you are respectful and friendly with the hosts then they exchange the same courtesy. As for issues with food round the pool - that's standard Greek taxation laws! Beer prices and cocktail prices are the same in the restaurants as they are in the Sarantis bar!
We were placed in a room above the bar - no problem, bar shuts at midnight, as the main road we didn't hear it. The self catering facilities were no worse than anywhere else I have ever been, two rings, a microwave (first time i have ever seen one of those in a room), kettle, toaster. Room was immaculate! Cleaning service great! Bathroom - standard basic Greek, clean.
In fact we had a problem with the toilet which Sarantis fixed as soon ...
Advantages: Powerfull motor, long hose Disadvantages: Very unreliable, heavy
When my Dyson 01 finally earned retirement, I bought a Hoover One Touch H1 TOU. I liked the price, powerful motor, the long hose and good name of Hoover.
From day one it was a problem and now nearly a year on I have ditched it and replaced it with a Dyson 14.
As soon as I used it, the filter kept poping out, and it very frequently cut out. A Hoover engineer called and replaced the filter and after a few weeks (and a dozen calls to Hoover) the machine was replaced with a new one.
However, exactly the same problems continued almost immediately and recognising that this model probably has inherant design faults, I could see no point changing the machine again for a similar model.
I did find that jamming a small wooden wedge under the filter clip did keep the filter in, but even allowing for constant cleaning of the other ...
