Advantages: fantastic tasting food Disadvantages: I havent stayed overnight
...The Old Mill Hotel is situated in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire. I have been to The Old Mill on numerous occassions for Sunday lunches and Weddings. The Old Mill is a very popular place to host Wedding receptions and parties.The Old Mill hotel Is less than a 5 minute drive from Strathclyde Country Park (aka M&D's) and approx 3 minutes drive from Motherwell town centre.
The Old Mill Hotel has 8 en-suite bedrooms, which are reasonably priced. As I have only ever had lunches and been a guest at wedding receptions at the hotel I cant comment on what the rooms are like.
The hotel has a large function suite- which caters for all occasion's including weddings, birthday parties and christenings. The suite holds 100 for a meal and 160 people in total for evening entertainment.
The food at the hotel is great and they serve quite big portions...

Advantages: High in the alps, Duty Free Disadvantages: Long Transfers

Accommodation
We stayed at the Garni Francescato, which offered new clean rooms with ensuite facilities. While not overly large, they were fine for a week where little time was to be spent indoors. Advantages: Fantastic location by the river Disadvantages: No lift
...The Hotel Hansablick is a three star hotel based in a lovely 100-year old Berlin town house. It has 29 rooms over 4 floors, and was refurbished in 2005.
~~~ Location ~~~
The hotel is set in a quiet residential area right next to the River Spree. It is on the north west corner of the Tiergarten, and only a couple of tube stops to the main shops on Kurfurstendamm.
The nearest U-Bahn station is Hansaplatz (approx 4 minute walk) and the S-Bahn station Tiergarten is about a 2 minute walk. Tickets for public transport can be purchased at the reception, although I found it pretty easy to do this directly at the station, despite my limited German.
~~~ Reception ~~~
From the quiet street you enter the hotel through a large door (sometimes open, sometime you have to buzz for entry). This leads to the foot of two flights of stairs, all wood...
