Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Highlighter

Advantages: does the job
Disadvantages: expensive

Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Eclat has become known as the best highlighter money can buy, and that's not without reason. Yes, the brand name and packaging are appealing, but it's the miracle inside the shiny gold tube that you're paying for. And believe, me it's worth the money. Before Touche Eclat, Yves Saint Laurent was not particularly well-known for its make-up line. Whilst many designer cosmetics are more style than substance, this is not true for Touche Eclat, which is more than a side-project for a major fashion house. This product works as both a concealer, covering dark under-eye circles and as a highlighter, to accent areas such as cheekbones. The reason why it works so well is that it contains light reflecting particles with give your skin a natural, radiant glow, whereas other concealers and cover-ups effectively just ...

A SUITABLE RESTING PLACE FOR St ALBAN

Advantages: Antiquity, Architecture, Free Entry, Guides, History.
Disadvantages: None Found

the West Front, I realised that when last I visited the Cathedral I had approached from the West, rather than as today, walking around the building on the north side. WHO WAS Mr ALBAN? Yes there was a Mr Alban! He was an early Christian; put to death in around 250 AD by the Roman's who at the time did not believe in one God, rather a large number of Pagan Gods. Being executed for his faith and buried on the hillside where St Alban's Cathedral now stands, Alban has his place in history as the first English Christian martyr. Alban, a prominent Pagan citizen in Verulamium, had been converted to Christianity by a priest, who he had concealed in his house and finally aided in escaping the city disguised as Alban himself. For this, the Roman magistrate sentenced Alban, who refused to forsake Christianity, to death. Seventy-five years after ...

The Ardmore Hotel, Dublin

Advantages: Bargain price.
Disadvantages: Slightly too far from town if you're interested in a long term stay.

After reading all of the terrible reviews for the Ardmore hotel i was really rather skeptical about staying there. I booked for two nights on the 8th july for me and my girlfriend and i was on edge throughout the whole journey because of the reviews that i had read. However, the journey from the airport was a rapid one and one that didn't break the bank! We were welcomed to the hotel with a smile, the only problem with checking in was that we had to wait until 12 to check in which left us waiting around for two hours. This was understandable though and couldn't be helped. Although the hotel is situated 2.5 miles from th city centre it really isnt that far. It is a pleasant walk through a few towns (if youve got the time that is) and we enjoyed it a lot. Alternatively you could catch the bus...this was an experience for us. I ...
