Advantages: Fresh seafood Disadvantages: Don't go there alone - you'll be ignored
With the rave reviews I had read and being the consummate 'foodie', I planned on including a dinner at Alexis Taverna during my recent trip to Greece. I emailed them one month prior to my visit to Rhodes to make a reservation, however I never received a reply. That should have been my first warning?
While in Rhodes I booked the reservation through the hotel where I was staying, and as it turned out my reservation was on my last evening in Rhodes. 'What a wonderful way to end a trip!', I thought to myself in eager anticipation.
I arrived at the restaurant and only one other couple was in the restaurant - I had an early reservation as there was no other time available that evening. As I entered the restaurant, I stood there while two or three employees were busy preparing for the evening. No 'good evening', no acknowledgment ...
Advantages: Unique shopping, competitive prices Disadvantages: Longer waiting in busier periods
Argos is different to any other high street retailer due to the method is sells items. Like in conventional shops, the items for sale are not on display for you to look and try, except in a big catalogue listing everything argos sells and not putting the items on the shop floor (except some items which I'll come back to later!). The catalogue listing all the items is roughly about 2000 pages, which is an awful lot of items! Each item has a price, a short description, a catalogue number, with the majority, but not all, having a picture of the item. Argos releases a new catalogue about 3 times a year, which if you didn't know is free to take from any store!

Advantages: Beach Side Dining on Fresh Well Cooked Dishes. Disadvantages: Had to come home.
fall in, also its good fun watching "Sandy" the resident Cat standing on his hind legs watching the fish.
While on the subject of cats, unlike some Greek Tavernas we have visitied the Cats seemed very well looked after all wearing collors.
Any way the evenings just melted all into one as night after night we returned.
Dishes were all good.
Swordfish Steaks excellent in size and texture.
Mousaka as already said one of the best we have had in Greece.
Stamnata a dish served in a clay pot, Pork and Vegtables. Very Tender very filling.
The Stafardo either Veal or Lamb, tried both, both excellent. Last year I wrote after Lithos in Corfu that theirs was the Best Stafardo in Greece, well Syrtaki is just as good.
Chiefs Lamb was also the best (Kleftiko).

Haraki Bay is a quiet fishing hamlet with a gorgeous, crescent-shaped pebbly beach and this excellent seafood taverna. Consider stopping here for a swim and lunch on a day trip to Lindos. We appreciated the freshness of the food, as well as a creative variation on a Greek salad that added mint, dandelion leaves, and other fresh herbs and was served with whole-wheat bread. The lightly battered fried calamari was tasty and a welcome relief from the standard over-battered fare. The mussels, baked with fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, were also right on.
