...my family and i love the santa lucia hotel in palms nova on the idealyc island of majorca. the hotle is a thomson only hotel so the only fight for the sunbeds is with the british. on our recent visit there we had a problem in the airport with my daughter not being allowed to sit in the comfort seats after the tour operators had taken the extra cost off us. we sought the advise of the reps at the hotel and it was sorted out within 24hours and we ad a full refund of the excess that we had paid. the reps had a good knowledge of the area and was always available to advise if required. the hotel is of an exceptionally high standard and has recently been refurbished. can't wait for my next visit there.... ...Odd place, very stiff and unfriendly management plus extremely expensive for such a place. Close to beautiful countryside and interesting topography, but actually this hotel is in the middle of nowhere - you will have to drive and drive to find other places to visit and the pool at the hotel in not so good as to want to stay by it all day. The food is good, but again the service is so odd and stiff that the experience is not enjoyable. There is no warmth in the hotel or the restaurant and the money when added up makes guests grumble. We saw many guests in their cars scrutinising their bills and looking as unhappy as we were! Give it a miss and use your money better at another hotel.... Read review

...We actually stayed in the Anex of Hotel Colombia that is called LOCANDA REMEDIO. You use the checkin of the Colombina, then they take you thru the back yard, DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU. You then enter the Anex climbing a stone stairway that opens into a Beautiful Salon, this is where you will have breakfast, superb compared with small breakfast room in the main Hotel. The staff come across in the morning and set the tables in the Salon. The rooms around the Salon vary in size, some quite small (This is Venice) but all encharting. Location, 100 yards from Saint Marks. Cost we usually get a Double with Breakfast in March for about £40 to £50 a night. 2008 cant wait.... Read review
