Arriva is one of the largest bus companies in the UK. Unfortuanately it is the only service available in my area, so If you are a student like me without a car, its either use them or walk. There isn't anything good to sya about them so Ill list their bad points:

-Abusive Staff:
All Arriva bus drivers are grumpy ( I think its in the job description). I have even been shouted at by a bus driver, who called me a "liar" in front of the whole bus because I thought I could use a discount card on a day ticket! Talk about service with a smile! If you only have a £10 note on you, don't even bother trying to get on the bus, the driver will not accept it. Drivers have even drove past my bus stop laughing and not stopping just to be spiteful. One time a driver refused to let me off at my stop and I had to walk an extra 10mins to college.

Pricing:
Pricing on Arriva seems to rise all the time. I have never seen a bus without a "revised fares" poster up (revised fares always means an increase of price). Tickets on my local bus must have increased by about £1.50 in the past year alone, they are VERY expenive.

Times:
if your at the bus stops looking at the timetable for an arriva bus, I suggest you use this formula (suggested time+5 minutes = predicted time). I have never been on an On-time Arriva bus, they just don't exist. The maximum time Ive had to wait was an extra 40 minutes to what they had said.

Overall:
Its a shame, but you have little choice if you need to use the bus. Its poor service or nothing.
