Arrosería Catranca, Majorca

Advantages: Lovely hot sun, relaxing and lots to do
Disadvantages: Can be expensive, some English tourists are rude

...I recently went to Majorca and had a fantastic holiday. I went with my partner in August. We stayed in a hotel in Alcudia. The hotel was lovely and the entertainment was fantastic. Although very hot it didn't spoil the holiday- we took a fan with us for the hot sticky nights. Food at the hotel was plentiful and staff were friendly. Unfortunately we were let down by some rather rude English guests who complained about everything. Whilst in Majorca we visited the Water Parks which were fantastic and well worth visiting. There is one in Alcudia itself and another near to Palma in El Arenal. Both were great fun. During our stay we also hired bikes and rode down the coast, visited other resorts and made the most of the excellent weather. Do go to MAjorca you won't be disapppointed. We hope to return next year.... Read review

Advantages: Great Beaches and things to do. And first class weather.
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit to much tourists.

...Majorca is the most wonderful place to visit in Spain. Views like none other, beaches like the carribean and more things to do then Florida. The beaches at Majorca are simpley brillant, some are miles of whte sand whilst others are deserted in the middle of the lush mountains. Everthing about this place just makes you want to return. If you think Mallorca is short of things to do then you are wrong, waterparks everywhere, shops and bars, brillant sights. And even if you want to relax by the pool, Mallorca has some exllent hotels. I personally reccomend the area of Cala Millor,it has the best beach in Mallorca and some of the best things to do such as shopping and Go-Karting. Overall I reccomend Mallorca to everyone, at first I thought it would be full of brtish boosers, but I was wrong.... Read review

Advantages: plenty to do, good for ages, all year round destination, good peak season weather
Disadvantages: gets a bit cold in winter

...I have a vast experience of majorca due to the fact that i was a holiday rep there. I found that the island is good for all aspects of a holiday and all kinds of travellers. If its sandy beaches, quiet coves, buzzing night life, or a traditional taverna this island has it all. I worked here for many years and couldnt have been happier. There is so much to do and see, whether its taking the family to see the amazing pirate show or going to see the mysterious and historical "Caves of Drach", no two days are ever the same. Families, couples, young groups and OAPs will all have a fantastic time no matter what time of year they decide to visit this spectacular holiday destination. Definatley my island of choice!...
