...of Schultergasse and Jordangasse, the Artis is a small five screen air-conditioned complex, showing films exclusively in English. The titles it gets are always very current although there are also special showings of classics from time to time. The fact that the cinemas are air-conditioned is great in summer when Vienna is renowned for being exceptionally sticky and muggy.
Ticket prices are not too bad, between ATS75-95 for a seat, and the kiosk ... ...what is showing at the Artis (or any other major cinema in Austria for that matter) the site www.film.at has all the information you require including the version information.
Its central location is also great for if you want to go on for a drink or two, with a whole plethora of bars within easy walking distance of the cinema. Often it shows several films in a single cinema per day, so there is usually always something you haven't seen playing ...
