You might have seen this CD before and been miffed at the measly 17 tracks on offer, especially compared to the 50 track box sets that Trojan offer for less money, and so left it on the shelf. However, this CD is simply the best ska compilation I've ever seen, so go back to the shop and buy it! I'll tell you why you should:
This compilation contains original ska recorded at Brentford Road in the early sixties by the then-superstars of Jamaica, and the quality of the selection is awe-inspiring! As the house band, The Skatalites pretty much play on all of these tracks, with the artists forming a who's who of Jamaican music - Tommy McCook, Don Drummond, Jackie Mittoo and Roland Alphonso play in various arrangements alongside The Maytals, The Ethiopians, Delroy Wilson, Joe Higgs and The Wailers.

After weeks of searching the internet for a new computer, I finally settled for the Dell Studio 540. I have owned this computer for a little over two months now, and have to say, that I am quite pleased with it?s performance. When it was delivered it was well packed, and all the glossy parts of the base unit were covered with protected covering, which takes a few moments to peel off. Everything was pre-installed so I didn?t need to use the enclosed windows vista operating disc, or drivers. Once I plugged it in, the first thing I noticed was how quite it was compared to my old pc, the first few seconds it?s just a wee bit loud, but even that is still quieter than my old pc, but it soon settles down to just a whisper. Advantages: Design, Battery Life, Quality, Customisable Disadvantages: Media buttons hard to see in dark
This laptop looks fantastic (I have the black top). Although the lid of the laptop is very easy to get fingerprints over, but they are easily cleaned up.
Battery will last for more than 3 hours of just typing, and that's nearly a year after a lot of use as well.
The media buttons (volume, eject dvd/cd, play/rewind/fast forward, etc) are touch-sensitive, and work great. They glow a blue colour when touched, which looks great. However, when using the laptop in the dark, it is hard to see the buttons. So you may press eject, instead of turn the volume up!
The CD/DVD drive is a slot-drive, and so cds are simply fed in, there is no need to press a button to open it up before inserting.
I have a webcam on my laptop, which is good quality, with some fun effects.
