Advantages: Close to City Centre and overlooks River Cam Disadvantages: Rooms need the same treatment the communal areas have had.

It has been developed from a row of terraced houses and whilst this doesn't take away from it as a whole it does affect the setting out of the interior of the hotel - mainly corridors, rooms and bathrooms.

The hotel is very clean and stylish but the rooms do not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The restaurant, bar and conservatory areas are clean, smart, reasonably stylish (depending on your taste!) and comfortable but the room failed to live up to my expectation for a hotel in a prime location with communal areas to such high standards.
There is a secure car park at the rear of the hotel.

I live in Cambridge and had never stayed here before but a friend booked a room for a night away as an anniversary present for my husband and I.

The bathroom was smaller than expected and whilst clean could have done with brightening up with a re-tiling or grouting.
The bed was comfortable, although not the best mattress, and on a chilly night another blanket would have been nice, although thankfully I wasn't on my own in a single room! There were tea and coffee making facilties, a TV and telephone.
The breakfast was tasty and served in the restaurant, where the staff can't do enough to ensure everything is to your satisfaction.
All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful, polite and friendly and check-in and out were done efficiently and without any problems.
With prices starting at £75 for a single room and £95 for a double room, per night, breakfast not included, the hotel is above average for the price. It does need more blankets, wi-fi and a bit of an update in the rooms - they need what the rest of the hotel has!
Advantages: Location, friendly, clean and comfortable. Disadvantages: Carpet in the toilet and out dated decor in the rooms.
The hotel is conveniently situated within a 5 minute walk of the centre of Cambridge I stayed here with my husband as a birthday treat for 2 nights in March. We had a twin bedded room at the front of the hotel which gave us a lovely view of the River Cam and Jesus Green. The room was clean, comfortable and in good decorative order, although in need of an update. The bed was comfortable although I personally would have liked a duvet instead of a blanket. ... ...where we could relax and watch TV.
The bathroom was small with a shower over the bath. There was a lack of space for toiletries and tooth brushes etc. Although it was clean and in good decorative order I did not like the fitted carpet in the bathroom.
The hotel is situated over 3 floors and there isn't a lift so a ground floor room is essential if you find stairs difficult.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and booking ...
