Advantages: Very close to Perth city, stunning views, ultra modern...... Disadvantages: Room service got you up far too early!
...The apartments are a 20 minute drive from the airport and with the aid of a map we were able to find them quite easily. The Mounts bay waters apartments are situated on Mounts Bay road which is adjacent to two of Perths greatest attractions - the Swan River and Kings Park and is also just a few minutes stroll to the Perth central business district and also (more importantly if you like retail therapy) the shops!

Advantages: easy to walk into town centre from here/beautiful views/very clean Disadvantages: very small pool/sound of traffic most of time.
...We stayed here for a week and found it an excellent place to be as we had never been to Perth before and it was so easy to either walk into the city (10-15 minutes) or hop on a free bus outside. The views from the apartments over the river and local parks and are beautiful. The staff were very helpful and kind and the rooms were well appointed and equipped as well as spotlessly clean. There is a restuarant on site and a few other places nearby but it is so close to town without actually being in it that it is easy to eat anywhere and have a drink then walk back to apartment. It was nice having your own apartment but also having the luxury of a hotel reception. There are two pools on site but they are very small and in fact one did not catch the sun for very long but then we were there to sight see so it did not matter....

Like Sydney it has a temperate climate, beautiful beaches on the Indian Ocean and a thriving economy. I'm currently on my third visit to Perth and I'm fortunate in that I'm here on business and the company are picking up the hotel tab (not to mention the bar tab!). I picked my own hotel and the criteria was that it should not be to far from the office and not to far from downtown area or the CBD (central business district). I'd also stayed in a backpackers hostel in East Perth...
