Advantages: Location, the big flat, view from the pool area Disadvantages: The unstable internet connection, breakfast
...with a separate bathroom as well but it was slightly smaller and the room was without a TV.
As we came here on business we decided to get online. So we asked for a modem to be sent to our room and we paid 250 Ringgit to have internet for a month (or you can pay 50 RM for a day). It was very easy to get online but I'm afraid that the internet was one of the very negative things about the Ascott. The internet connection was very unstable and it is very frustrating when you have to sit around and wait for the feedback.
As a part of the room there was also an ironing board and an iron so I could prepare my shirts before going to work each morning :-) There is also a laundry service at the hotel if you need stuff to be dry cleaned or washed.
The breakfast lounge is located on the 22nd floor and it has a great view to the Petronas Twin Towers...

Advantages: good location, good food, new friends Disadvantages: small rooms
...We both went to Sussex Uni and quite enjoy going back there for the odd 'not-so-dirty' weekend. We found this hotel sveral years ago but it was made over a couple of years back. It is fairly close to Palace Pier and is very close to the seafront. However the main shops are probably a 10 minute walk away.
It is easy to get there by public transport so you don't need to take a car - anyway it would be murder to park it! You can walk around most of the things you'd want to do in Brighton so a car isn't really essential.
One of the strange/best things about it is the varied clientele: whilst we were there before Christmas there were a couple of New Zealanders, some cyclists from up North and some serious bikers from Belgium (no, not Hell's Angels types!!They they were really charming).
You get to chat to other guests as the dining room...

...i recently visited the fair city of MAnchester in England and stayed at the holiday Inn Crowne Plaza. What a fantastic and imposing building it is, a very special hotel and one that is so big. It has everything going for it as the hotel has every thing you could ever need.
Wjhats more is that it is in a nice part of a pretty dodgy city, as far as I could see the place only has three nice streets and luckily the hotel is located on one of them.
If you have to go to Manchester for any reason then this is the place to stay but it is quite expensice for what is afetr all only a place to go to sleep...

I stayed at the Tulip Inn (Trafford Centre) early in August as the Arctic Monkeys were playing at Lancashire Cricket Ground.
When we arrived the car park was quite full but had plenty of spaces, even though the hotel very obviously very busy.

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.
