Advantages: Situated in the heart of Mayfair Disadvantages: Expensive
...This is a wonderful hotel situated in the heart of Mayfair. It is a five-star hotel that backs onto Park Lane. The bedrooms are very comfortable and large in size. When I stayed there for the new year the service was friendly and the food was excellent. Although it is expensive to stay here it is thoroughly worth the money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the West-end of London not far from Bond Street and Oxford Street. It is a good hotel to stay in for short shopping trips or for anyone going to London to see a show....

Advantages: Amazing location, awesome decor, helpful staff Disadvantages: Small room
...This hotel prides itself on its decor and it has every reason to be proud. The style of our room was Saville Row, and the bathroom was so nice we took pictures of it in the hope one day we will be able to transform our own bathroom to be just like it. The staff in the hotel were very highly trained eastern europeans and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel even has its own library, which we did not make the most of, but it did look exceptionally quaint!
All major London attractions are close by, and staying in the prestigious Mayfair area is not something my wife and I would have expected we could ever do. We went shopping on Oxford Street, took photos of Buckingham Palace, and went on the London Eye. I booked the hotel through an internet site, and payed about £150 a night including a huge breakfast for the both of us...

Advantages: Better and cheaper than Starbucks Disadvantages: Less outlets than Starbucks, not as good as Nero.
...I found their coffee to be superior in taste and value for money than all the Starbucks I hace tried, over here and in the US. It hass more substance (if you know what I mean - no "air" just milk) than froth which Starbucks suffers from - which is Starbuck's achille's heel in my humble opinion. Pricing is very competitive for this part of London (Mayfair) and the store is in a very convient and pleasant environment (in fact very near to two Starbucks and a Nero!). However Nero taste is better but value is not, as they are similar price to Starbucks. Good selection of lunch foods, including sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, salads, deserts, fruit and more. Some novel seasonal sandwiches, especially the smoked venison at Christmas time!
Overall, Pret are the safest (more consistent product) middle ground and recommended....
