Advantages: Location, stylish Disadvantages: very thin walls between rooms
...The Clift is a beautiful and stylish hotel. It houses the stunning Redwood Bar which has gorgoues cocktails and you're surrounded by grand wood panelling and very cool plasma screens. The hotel also has the Asiadecuba restaurant which is great and the portions are big enough to share, although I don't think its quite as good as London's AsiadeCuba.
The staff are also friendly as we had backpacks from our round the world trip and were treating ourselves for our last 2 nights. They didn't bat an eyelid when we walked in with them which some 5 star hotels would do.
On the downside, although the rooms very beautifully done with a lilac and cream colour scheme, the walls are VERY thin between the rooms which is shame - so you can hear your next door neighbour's TV and anything else they might be doing!...

Advantages: It's just wonderful Disadvantages: You have to find it first...
...!). Of course, the obligatory white fluffy towels and robe, and a basin below the enormous mirror complete the set. What more could I want?
Dinner of course.
Now St Martin’s Lane hotel boasts two restaurants – the famous AsiadeCuba and the more relaxed Tuscan. Unfortunately the AsiadeCuba was fully booked by the time we got around to checking so we dined in the Tuscan. As for the hotel experience, well it was simply wonderful. From the courtesy Aqua shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the shower room (yes of course I took them home!) to the doors with no handles in the ladies, everything was just that bit different, just that bit clever that it kept me very very happy throughout my stay!

...with a berry compote, tea and juices. It was very nicely presented, arrived on time, was set up in the room on a trolley table with crisp napery and so on, but was it worth that much?
Breakfast in the restaurant is better value. A full cold English and Continental buffet is available which is discretely restocked at every opportunity. A cooked menu is also on offer and ordering off-menu is permitted.
For meals at other times of the day your best bet by far is the AsiadeCuba restaurant. This is a renowned restaurant in London frequented by the "beautiful people". It produces Asian-Cuban fusion cooking in a way unrivalled by many. For lunch bento boxes are the order of the day (although a full menu is available). Afternoon tea is also taken with a twist of the East. Dinner though is really where this place comes into its own. Portion sizes...
