Advantages: Romantic Destination for City break Disadvantages: Can be Cold in Winter, as surrounded by water, Can be Smelly in summer.
...an alltogether more relaxed & cosmopolitain feel. It has inspiring Palladian architecture & an amazing theatre. The residents enjoy an evening stroll walking their tiny dogs both wearing designer gear, which even the people of Rome & Milan find hard to top.

Advantages: It has everything! Disadvantages: Can get stuffy and full of tourists in the summer!
.../trinket/papal blessing you want. St Peters is spectacular, it was one of the few places that has literally left me speechless (and I do like to talk!).
On the same side of the river is Trastevere. A trendy area, which bursts into life at night. Lots of good pubs and restaurants are situated here, and it is a lot of fun. There is also an english bookshop where you can catch up with the ex-pat community, complain about the weather in London and meet the resident cat!
A lot of the nightclubs are situated in Testaccio, which is a little way out, a taxi is inexpensive and a lot easier than negotiating bus routes after a couple of drinks in a pub!
Rome is great, if you hadn't caught on already, I love it there. I could continue for another 1000 words, but would bore everyone to death, so go, and experience it yourself!! You won't be disappointed!...

...The immensity of these historical remains took my breath away before I had even begun to learn about the depth and horror of its history. Those of you who have seen Gladiator or studied Ancient Rome in history lessons may be aware of the basic features and uses of the Colosseum in its days of glory but the amount of information given during the tour intrigued and enlightened me to the full extent of its history.
Getting to the Colosseum could not be easier. It is situated in the centre of Rome quite literally with main roads running meters away from its ancient structure. The Metro station is situated within meters of the entrance with a zebra crossing leading across the road to the cobbled pathway that ran around the Colosseum. However if you do chose to take the metro be careful when traveling to keep any belongings in front of you...

...The imperial palace is the best building in the world , it is so big and menacing . Rome is a very picturesque city with beautiful venues and people!!!!!! The best way to travel around Rome is on moped , it gives u a better view and feel of the city. The vatican is absoulutely amazing , how can one man michaelangelo do such good artwork in one lifetime a true great .
Rome is also an exceptional place to shop, the amount of quality shops like diesel , gucci are just amazing. All of the people are very friendly and very organised . The best place to eat in Rome value for money is probably spizzico or Damiano's pizza place absoulutely fantastic.
