New, elegant and sophisticated, the Athena Royal is perfectly situated directly on the sweeping beach front. Enjoying a high quality of service, facilities within the hotel, the décor and overall ambience almost ensure that this Adultsonly hotel reaches a not far from 5 star rating. Spacious public areas are pleasantly uplifting and there is a distinct air of informal sophistication. The Spa treatments and beauty centre are perfect pampering havens whilst the largetropical pool area is the perfect place to soak up the sun. Rooms are tastefully furnished whilst the resort's many nearby facilities will ensure that you can enjoy all aspects of your holiday to the full.
Advantages: Great pools, near to reteraunts and cafes Disadvantages: the beach and the lunch canteen
...refer to the constantinou Brothers as the Con Bro’s for this section of the review just so that it saves me writing it over and over again (its bloody hard to spell).
The con bro’s are two brothers who bought lots of land very cheaply in Cyprus in the 70’s. Since then they have sold land to make hotels and cafes, and developed quite a name for themselves. After they had made enough money from selling the land for hotels and cafes, they started to build for themselves.
Now they still own a lot of the land around Paphos and they have 4 hotels. Three of the 4 hotels are 4 stars and the other is 3 stars. The Athena and the RoyalAthenabeach hotels are both 2 stars and are next to each other on the sea front strip of hotels next to the harbour.
-Why choose it? –
So, why the Athenabeach? There are lots of hotels along the sea front...

Advantages: Toasties are great Disadvantages: Where do i start??
...Me and my husband stayed at the Laura Beach hotel Cyprus from 20th June to 28th June 2007 with Libra holidays. Please note this hotel is also known as Luca Laura Beach and also Cyprotel Laura Beach depending on the brochure, I questioned the rep about this and apparently it used to be part of the Luca group of hotels but has been de-branded. We paid £400 each all inclusive including reserved flight seats.
HOTEL
The hotel is situated about 30-40 minutes drive from the airport but this does depend on how many drop off's there are. It is situated on the beach front if you can call it that, as it is man made and you do need to go down several steep paths and steps which with the sand are very slippy needless to say when you finally meet the bottom there are a lot of rocks, we only ventured down the once. The sea would...

Advantages: Super staff, great food, pools excellent, lots of little nice touches. Disadvantages: Rocky beach. Dated rooms.
...Lovely hotel in wonderful Paphos.
Staff cannot do enough for you - waiting staff in the bar are attentive, polite and friendly. Entertainment staff - evening shows a little poor but they try really hard to keep everyone happy and entertained with no pressure to join in.
Nice touches such as fruit & wine in rooms on arrival, free mini bar with soft drinks replenished daily, beds turned down & chocolates or a flower on your pillow at night.
Rooms: decor a little tired and in need of refurbishment but still in good order.
Cleanliness is excellent throughout the buildings and in the grounds. Staff were always busy behind the scenes.
SEA VIEW IS WORTH EVERY PENNY !
Food is very well cooked with plenty of choice.
Weekly Gala Dinner by the pool is lovely (although food here a little cold)
No problem finding sunbeds...

Hello and welcome to my review on the Athena Beach Hotel, in Cyprus.
In this review I will try to explain as much as I can about the hotel, why we chose the hotel and the area and what is available once you get there.
-Why Cyprus-
Why choose Cyprus? more
I stayed at this hotel for one week in July 2005. It was brilliant. The hotel looked classy from the inside and out, and was only a short way from the shops and restaurants in Paphos.
Check In: I arrived at this hotel with 2 other family members, it... more
Although looking a bit tired these days, the Avanti Hotel is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from Paphos harbour and across the road from the beach. It has an excellent main pool area with kids pool too. The service is friendly and... more
