Aristoteles hotel in the city Athens
Advantages: the hotel is close to the city center, so that you want to shop or to other activities, need not Disadvantages: -
There are no modern hotels, but with the feel of a new Greek. enough for you to rest. This hotel provides facilities, Rooms small but clean, equipped with LCD TV, AC, a comfortable bed, bathroom with shower. Breakfast ok. Staff friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists who enjoy spending time talking with our guests. Free internet access. Good location, in the middle of town and not too far from the Acropolis and the nearest subway station. ...

Athenaeum Luxury at the InterContinental
Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best
...office tower rather than a hotel though. It's a very large hotel with over five hundred guest bedrooms over nine floors. Checking In: On both occasions it was very easy to check in and out again, the receptionists were all efficient, helpful and spoke excellent English. The reception area was also very well staffed with four staff members around at any one time to minimise queues. The Room: Very impressed with the room on both stays. On my first ... ...a facial soap. Hotel Facilities: These aren't excellent in my opinion. The swimming pool is outdoor only and only for summer use. Internet access is very poor, I believe 24 Euros for unlimited wireless access or 5 Euros per hour. Considering that I have stayed in four-star hotels with unlimited free usage both using wireless and a business centre I think that this is very poor. There is a beauty spa but having look at the brochure in my room it is ...

Bad customer service
Advantages: Next to metro station Disadvantages: Customer service and location in Omonia Square - not a pleasant area
Stayed here on 2 different occasions recently and both bad experiences with Acropol Hotel. Location: Omonia square. Not a good area. Many police patroling the area at night as there are many drug dealers in this area. I witnessed a big fight on the street from my room and the police came within 5 minutes. However, the metro station is in front of the hotel so it is convenient to get to other parts of Athens. Omonia station is a big station which ... ...unfriendly. Check in was slow and staff were rude. Most of the time there were 2 staff for check in. One female and one male. The female receptionist was very rude. The first time I stayed there, I wanted a room on higher floor as I heard rooms on lower floors are badly affected by noises from the streets. When I approached her for a request to switch my room, she asked me rudely: what's your problem? She clearly does not know what customer service ...

A romance of exceptional beauty and service!!!
Advantages: Big beautiful sun drenched rooms and 5 star service! Disadvantages: Does not stock Magnum of Pétrus 1961
I loved this hotel, it has the most serene lobby with Moroccan like historic tile floors, and very openly bright cheery feel with the softest of breezes flowing through and gently rustling the beautiful potted palms. I could smell the sea and it was intoxicating! What impressed me most was the service, upon arrival three midgets in white tux and top hats ran out to greet me, and remove my bags from the carriage. The front desk service was wonderful ... ...and chaperoned to my room. The room was all white and also very open and spacious, with golden afternoon sun sparkling off the white stucco walls and the furniture made from tree limbs with the bark still attached. So rustic! I enjoyed my stay greatly and recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a simply romantic time in Athens, wether traveling alone or with a loved one. - Audrey Gair ...
