Advantages: clean rooms,nice staff
Disadvantages: the area not too friendly,far from airport

Athenaeum Luxury at the InterContinental

Advantages: Helpful staff, lovely bedrooms, mini-bus service into the centre
Disadvantages: Not much in the local area, expensive, facilities not the best

Bad customer service

Advantages: Next to metro station
Disadvantages: Customer service and location in Omonia Square - not a pleasant area

Stayed here on 2 different occasions recently and both bad experiences with Acropol Hotel. Location: Omonia square. Not a good area. Many police patroling the area at night as there are many drug dealers in this area. I witnessed a big fight on the street from my room and the police came within 5 minutes. However, the metro station is in front of the hotel so it is convenient to get to other parts of Athens. Omonia station is a big station which ...

A romance of exceptional beauty and service!!!

Advantages: Big beautiful sun drenched rooms and 5 star service!
Disadvantages: Does not stock Magnum of Pétrus 1961

I loved this hotel, it has the most serene lobby with Moroccan like historic tile floors, and very openly bright cheery feel with the softest of breezes flowing through and gently rustling the beautiful potted palms. I could smell the sea and it was intoxicating! What impressed me most was the service, upon arrival three midgets in white tux and top hats ran out to greet me, and remove my bags from the carriage. The front desk service was wonderful ...
...and chaperoned to my room. The room was all white and also very open and spacious, with golden afternoon sun sparkling off the white stucco walls and the furniture made from tree limbs with the bark still attached. So rustic!
