Double Entendre Central
Advantages: Really nice food, friendly staff, good prices
Disadvantages: Too far off beaten track for most
Now that you have stopped giggling at the back, I shall begin!
For the past year, my best friend has been living and working in Athens, giving me the perfect excuse to visit the city twice in the past 6 months. I've been really enamoured with the city, which can be seen from some of my previous reviews, and have really enjoyed the Greek cuisine. However, there is only so much souvlaki and mousaka that even the greatest fan can take and sometimes ...
...a bit different.
Many of the non-Greek restaurants in the city centre often appeared to be quite expensive but we were lucky enough to find this restaurant, off the beaten track in the district of Kalithea, within walking distance of my friend’s apartment. For many Athens visitors then this will be too far out but if you want a good value, nice meal, whilst exploring the Athens known to locals then it may be on your 'hitlist'.

"flavours of Ancient Greece" UNIQUE GASTRONOMY
Advantages: unique plates, Ancient Greek recipies, classy environment, very well trained staff, AMAZING wine&honey drink (said to resemble ancient ambrosia)
Disadvantages: have to eat using a spoon or.. your hands... Ancients did not have forks!!!! (only Poseidon had one!)

PRICES
Archaion gefseis is considered a rather expensive restaurant (always comparing to greek standards), but it is worth as it is offers an extraordinary experience. It costs about 45-50 euros per person (with wine&deserts).
OVERALL IMPRESSION
What else could I say? Now that I remembered all these plates, I started feeling really hungry! Next time I will try to learn some of the recipies, so that I can cook them myself!!! ...

A great restaurant
Advantages: great food,great location
Disadvantages: it is a bit small
COurina-Cine Psirri is one of the best restaurants in Athens.Situated in the Psirri area,an area which the last years has become more and more popular,it is very easy to get to,by car,public transport or even on food(10 mins walk),from anywhere in the centre of athens.The restaurant is above the cine-psirri open-air cinema,very convenient after a movie!!

The decoration is great,very artistic.At this point i should mention that cine-psirri is the favorite place of many greek actors and artists in general,and since it is situated close to many theatres,the time that it is most packed,is at about 11,when the plays finish. Advantages: great food,great scenery,cheap prices!
