I went on holiday in Greece with my friend last year to different place then i usually go.We went to Halkidiki. We booked our holidays through Polish agency as its much cheaper but not much convenient when you book last minute.
I mean i had to go to Poland to go to Greece it was a long trip but i survived.We landed in Kavala and transfer to the hotel took about 2.45min.By the end of the evening i was really tired.Theoxenia is 4* hotel and is very nice.Rooms are in good size at least our was and was clean.We were on half board basis so we had breakfast and supper all buffet style.
I must say the food is very good. Breakfast was always the same, eggs,jam,bread,ham,cereal,Greek yogurt and other things but what else can you expect?

This year, I was in charge of organising our office Christmas party, and, being based in South East London, the department tends to head to Bromley or Greenwich for a meal. We booked an internet deal through Thompson Holidays for £190 each (incl. flights, transfers and accomodation) for a week in Self Catering appartments.
Our flights were from Birmingham to Thessaloniki (which is the nearest airport to Halkidiki). The flight took around 3 hours and we then had an hour and a half transfer from the airport to our resort - Fourka.
Halkidiki is split into three penisulars, Kassandra, Sithonia and Mount Athos. These are near the north of main land Greece and are surrounded by the Aegean Sea.
Kassandra and Sithonia are supposed to be the livliest of the three, although they are not busy or crowded.
Mount Athos is a Monks Republic and is usually only seen by people from sea.
