Housing and land super - affordable, great shopping, restaurants, and cultural opportunities, theatre, museums, sports, international airport, rapid transit rail system
Disadvantages:
traffic is terrible, easy to get lost
Not only is Atlanta often 95 degrees farenheit in the shade in summer months, but it's one HOT city for career opportunities, night-life, unbelievably affordable housing on large lots of land compared to any other city in the world, and great people to meet. Atlanta is home to the famous baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. Good luck finding a ticket these days! We have many other professional sports teams, major musical concerts, a wonderful symphony, ballet and opera of our very own as well as a hopping theatre scene. In the metro Atlanta area, you can buy a very nice, large home on a full acre of wooded land for $180,000 easy. The newer homes are being built on much smaller lots but there are still an abundance of homes built in the 1970's and 80's that have lots of land, trees and space galore. This is the time to move here and buy because prices are going up, up, up as people discover what a bargain it is to live in the metro Atlanta area. Buckhead is a fabulous haven of fine restaurants, theatres and great dance and music clubs. For a funkier crowd you can hear some great music, see some experimental theatre or meditate at a Zen den in Little Five Points. I'm married, but I understand the singles scene is happening in Atlanta. Scottish friends of mine moved here and will never leave because they swear there's nowhere in the world with such a balmy climate, land galore and all the shopping, cultural and culinary resources you could ever hope for.

Advantages: Great frequent flier scheme, reliable airline that knows what it is doing Disadvantages: Domestic flights rather basic and penny-pinching, no bimbo stewardesses (some might see that as an advantage!)
