The Atlantic View Guest House is a large bed and breakfast run by a local family. they are the longest runing bed and breakfast in the area of doolin and most people who regularly visit ireland will come back to this house.
I flicked threw the Guest book to find that every comment was "excellent room" "superb Breakfast" etc. the view from the rooms facing the sea will show the cliffs of moher one of irelands most spectacular sites. the rooms are all large with lovely beds and furniture, the showers are powerful and the bathrooms are nice. breakfast has a nice choice of traditional foods and the chef/man of the house will be happy to make any special requests if they are informed the night before. the family will do everything to make you comfortable in your stay.
the House is located aprox 6miles from the tourist entrance to the cliffs. which is a great walk or cycle on a good day. also only 5 minutes walk in the same direction is O'Conners pub one of the most famous bars in ireland, the home of irish music.
The house is also only 5 minutes walk from the docks where the aran island ferries depart to the islands. tickets can be booked from the house over breakfast in the mornin as the family own the ferry company also.
Also 20miles from the Aliwee Caves and the burren which are popular with all tourists. For any other activities you can get information from the reception. the Guest House provide a list of all the top restraunts in the area and are always interested to hear your reviews of these restraunts so they can advise future guests.
the Guest house is of good value for money and is always busy even when other guest houses in the town are not so it is essential to book a room or get there early before 3 o'clock. it is roughly 40euro per person. but for the class of accomodation i believe the owners could charge over 70euro per person and still be as busy.
there is one family room but the house is aimed more towards couples or older families and small babys. not so much noisy children 5-15.
