Auckland Sky Tower
Advantages: Views Disadvantages: You will not want to leave
...to Auckland then visiting the Sky Tower is a must do! It is not that expensive to go up and once you are up the tower the views are amazing. You go up in an elevator, and when you get to the top you enter the main circular observatory tower which has massive glass windows all the way around giving you a 360 degrees view of Auckland, some of the best views are of the world famous harbour and Mount Eden, a dormant volcano. If you are the dare-devil ...

Advantages: You can say you jumped off the harbour bridge. Excellent views of Auckland Disadvantages: none
...of modern bungy have added Auckland Harbour bridge to their portfolio of official bungy sites after their successes in Queenstown in the South Island. This latest jump site is definitely worth a go and can be combined with jumps at other AJ Hackett sites at a discount. Basically if you do a jump at any AJ Hackett site you get a discount on a subsequent site as long as you complete within a month of the initial jump. Auckland Harbour Bridge Bungy ... ...complimentary shuttle bus from the Auckland Maritime Museum, Viaduct Harbour at 09:00, 11:30 & 14:30. Waitomo Caves?...Why not indeed!!
Advantages: Something you can't do anywhere else!! Incredible experience . Disadvantages: Cold, dark and scary ;-) Can't take photos below ground
...motorway 3 and head towards Waitomo Caves.
The Waitomo Caves are a large network of limestone caves set in the rolling New Zealand countryside and because they are under the countryside you wouldn't think of visiting them!!
As you drive down the imaginatively named Waitomo Caves Road you come to the 'Long Black Cafe' the home of 'The Legendary Black Water Rafting Co.' This is where our adventure will take place!!
I'm in NZ on holiday with my other ... ...life and times of the Waitomo Glow worm. Our guides are very knowledgeable and are keen to answer peoples questions on the glow worms and the history of the caves themselves. Our lesson complete and we are dragged back up the tunnel to where we entered the freezing water. We are forced to throw our tubes back up the rock wall that we had jumped from. Errr wait a minute....no floatation device???? Now we're walking, wading and even swimming down the ...

Fantastic
Advantages: Fantastic place for a picnic, to take children or to job/walk, FREE! Disadvantages: Animals rome freely within enclosed areas - watch out for the dung!
Cornwall Park is about 10 minutes drive from downtown Auckland. The main gates open at 7am and shut around dusk each night. It is situated upon and around One Tree Hill, an Auckland landmark. Unfortunately today it is jokingly referred to as 'No Tree Hill' as the lone tree that once sat on top was destroyed by protestors. The hill can be seen from most places around central Auckland and all that remains on top is a tall concrete oblisque shaped structure. ... ...There is a restaurant, Cornwall Park Garden Restaurant but I have never eaten here.
It is a very popular place for locals to come and exercise. It is also a very safe park as there are always lots of people around.
It is also a very popular venue for weddings and wedding photographs.
Growing up in Auckland I have lots of fond memories frequenting the park as a child for family picnics and regularly visit now as an adult. I would definitely recommend ...

Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb
Advantages: Great View of Auckland Disadvantages: Little excitement
...Auckland.
In reality the Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb, run by the thrill-seekers guru AJ Hackett did not live up to my expectations and my Spiderman dreams were left unfullfilled. It costs $65 to climb the bridge and this was a significant factor in my decision to climb the bridge (it was cheaper than bungy jumping off it for $125). however the bridge climb doesn't hold the same adrenalin thrills. You are dressed in 'stylish' grey overalls and ... ...get the stunning views of Auckland city from the very top point of the bridge, by the NZ flags. The city is laid out in front of you and on a clear morning the view is stunning!
However for safety reasons you cannot take your camera onto the bridge which is disappointing, although for $20 the guide will photograph you and your comrades conquering the summit of the bridge, although with the ease of the climb you do have to wonder if this is a cunning ...
