Advantages: It is one of the biggest dome in the world
Disadvantages: pictures of aggressivity and nudeness, and dead popes all around

...Amazing experience that you will never forget. I have been to Rome in September 2006 and it is still alive in my remembrance. I was caught by the huge interior of St Peter's. I could never before imagine something so large and spacious. And such a place where sooo many people come just in order to experience this attraction... It is said that 60.000 people can fit in the dome and its tract has 15.000 quadratic meter. While entering, my eyes were caught by the art on the walls and on the ceiling that were a bit exaggerated and sometimes kitschy. Words are not enough to describe how horrified I was. I would wish to everybody to experience it once in real to know what is catholicism about. - and maybe to be horrified... Advantages: Fantastic location, brilliant service, immaculate
Disadvantages: It is pricey, but then, Rome is generally pricey

...looked at the map and said we had picked a really good location as we were quite close to Vatican City. It was only when we were there on our second day in Rome, having got to grips with the map and finding our way around, that we realised we were actually able to walk to many of the main sights. We were coming out of the Vatican and checking the map to see which way to the Sistine Chapel when I spotted a road name on the map which looked very familiar, and realised that we were a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. Hotel Cicerone, we discovered, is within walking distance of the Vatican, Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, Castel Sant'Angelo and San Pietro. Even Trevi Fountain and Pantheon could be reached by foot, it was only the Colloseum and Roman Forum that really warranted a journey on the metro and even that took minutes to reach... Read review
