Good value at the Goodearth hotel, Perth
Advantages: Central location, good area, value for money, clean and comfy. Disadvantages: Occasional sagging mattresses, plus check your account carefully.
...spent four nights at the Goodearth hotel Perth Western Australia. Here's how I got on. I booked my accommodation through hotelclub.com and can report that the website was safe and secure when processing my payment of $A428 for the four nights. At $107 per night (approx 45 pounds) it seemed good value to me. Initially, I tried to book this hotel through a Queensland travel agent. They told me there were no rooms available for the period I wanted, ... ...fortunately, found accommodation at the Goodearth on the nights I wanted. So Ciao readers should be aware that just because a travel agent states there are no rooms, it is worthwhile trying the internet instead !
On arrival at the hotel, I stepped into the cheerful, welcoming lobby. Two staff were on duty for check-in, and I didn't have to wait long for room allocation. Staff attitude was helpful and courteous. A minor problem ensued about the breakfasts. ...

A short stay at the Perth Ambassador
Advantages: Great Value, close to the CBD Disadvantages: Lacking in va va voom
...I would have plumped for Perth in Western Australia. Like Sydney it has a temperate climate, beautiful beaches on the Indian Ocean and a thriving economy. I'm currently on my third visit to Perth and I'm fortunate in that I'm here on business and the company are picking up the hotel tab (not to mention the bar tab!). I picked my own hotel and the criteria was that it should not be to far from the office and not to far from downtown area or the CBD ... ...in East Perth on my first visit here in 2003, so because I was a little familiar with the area thought I'd try and get somewhere close to there. I came across the Perth Ambassador on the Checkin.com.au web site and it caught my eye because it was in my price range, my hotel allowance runs to $150.00 AUD a night or 40 to 80 GBP. This must have been up rated recently as while Ciao states this is a two star hotel it's actually now three and a half stars. ...

Peppers Beach - Expensive, but you do get what you pay for.
Advantages: Very high quality, very modern, clean, beautiful hotel! Disadvantages: Cost
...and myself stayed in the Peppers Beach Resort and Spa in June 2008 for a week. We were getting married at St Mary's by the Sea which was very close to the hotel and obviously with it being our wedding we wanted something quite luxurious for that week. We entrusted our wedding planner with the bookings and she certainly didn't dissapoint.
THE ROOM
We stayed in a room with pool view, which was more like a brand new modern apartment. It had a living ... ...and carraige came through the streets everybody was clapping and shouting congratulations! I couldn't see that happening back in England.
IN CONCLUSION
If you have the money or are planning on treating yourself for whatever reason, I would definately recommend Peppers Beach. You will not be dissapointed! ...

Broome YHA – The Kimberly Klub
Broome YHA is located in central Broome, walking distance from the town centre, it is about 20 minuets from the famous Cable Beach but the hostel to offer a free mini bus service to and from the beach. Rooms: Having stayed in YHA Hostels before I have to say we where a little disappointed when we saw the room, we opted for 10 bed dorm room this time to save some money but as it turned out we were the only ones in the ... ...things were that we had no real air conditioning apart from a fan which didn’t really help at all, it was very hot and humid in Broom and all the fan was doing was pushing the hot air around. Noise was also a real issue in the hostel, all of the big dorm rooms are next to each other and the walls in-between do not reach the top of the ceiling so you can see over into the next room and of course hear everything. We really struggled to sleep do to ...

The Resort: You have a wide range of accommodation choices at the Monkey Mia Beach Resort, from luxury cabins, dorms to camping. As we had our own tents we opted for the camping. At just $52 for 4 of us this was a ... ...The main attraction at Monkey Mia is its Dolphins. Every morning from 7.30am about 15 – 20 wild Dolphins come into the bay for a free feed. The price to see the Dolphins is only $6 per person and this money goes towards Dolphin Conservation. The Dolphins swim right up to shore and are literally around your feet; it is incredible to see such magnificent creatures so close up. Of course you are not allowed to touch the Dolphins and conservation workers ...
