Advantages: Great scenery in the summer Disadvantages: A long way by coach
...I have recently been to Austria on holiday, as a regular traveller I have visited Austria on many occasions during the winter and the summer. During the winter the mountains are amazing and there is some great skiing to be done.
But not many people visit Austria during the summer.
If you are contemplating taken a summer break there are a number of places to visit and things you you must do while your there.
First things first, Places to visit.
Salzburg.
This city is one place you must visit, it offers too many places of interest to mention, but one way to see all of theses is to take one of the many guided tours around the city, such as the Sound Of Music tour which visits the buildings etc used in the film.
Innsbruck.
Another huge city, with Horse drawn carriages being the best way to tour this city, with its huge mountains...

Advantages: beautiful, scenic, relaxing, peaceful Disadvantages: a bit quiet if you are young, not much nightlife
...I visited the Austrian Tyrol three times, on consecutive years in the late 1980s, along with my Mother and a group from our area. It is probably the most beautiful country I have been to, although I am hugely fond of England and Wales too.
Austria is such a lovely country, as it has something for everyone, from big cities to small villages. We stayed in a small place called Lermoos, which was very picturesque - a church, ice-cream parlour, few shops, hotels and a small nightclub which could only be called that with a big stretch of imagination ! Nightlife is not something the Tyrol excels in, but then again, you don't go to Austria to go clubbing !
Our hotel was opposite a hill where each morning, we would be woken up by the sound of cow bells, as the farmer led his cows to be milked.
Towering above our hotel were the Zugspitze...

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, Clean Air, Superb Excursions, Warm and Friendly Folk Disadvantages: can be expensive to the British Pocket
.... If you've never been to Austria then St Anton is an excellent place to start a love affair with the Austrian Tirol and voyage of discovery to the culture of the Austrian Folk...the people are so friendly, the food is excellent, and the culture superb, Austria is also very hot in the summer......

To star with, I want to say I don't personally own this phone but my girlfriend does, and I usually hear nothing but complaints. So here goes.
