Austrian airlines were told in advance that four vegetarians would be travelling with them for the first time. Several phone calls were made and promises given, including at the airport itself that suitable food would be given but nothing was forthcoming. The same thing happened on the return flight. Our complaints were not directed at the, friendly, on board staff but at the management afterwards. No proper apology was forthcoming. I appreciate that certain people do not like vegetarians, although I can't think why. It's actually cheaper to cater for us and in the context of a flight from London to Vienna a sandwich would suffice. That aside the journey was as good as it could have been and no delays were experienced. Not able to recommend them to veggies though.
