Let's just say that I think AVIS is absolutely smashing because they absorbed the cost of my Dad's 2 parking summons. My dad is no drunk driver but coming from a foreign country there are tendencies to make mistakes and AVIS recognises that. Of course, what you pay for is what you get and the cost of car hire is more expensive, especially if you do rent a car from the airport. However, Avis's after sales service is fantastic, its before sales service is also formidable and they have friendly bus-porters who take you from the terminals to the rental site. the rental cost may be a little steeper than the rest but they are still reasonable and I would dfinitely recommend this if you prefer the security of having good after sales services.
