In my opinion AVIS are the worst company in the world. After my holiday in Italy in August 2011 I returned the car and they wanted to add extra charges that I did not agree to. Me and my disabled son were then threatened with violence unless I agreed to sign. After I complained in the UK I got a partial refund.
Yesterday, (2nd Feb) AVIS in Bracknell took £78 from my account without any warning or prior notification. They said it was for a traffic offence in Italy las August. but they cannot provide me with any details!
This has obviously been dreamt up by crooks who work for AVIS as a revenge for my complaint last year.
Their customer service people are vile and rude I would urge all to keep away from them...they are common theives who are after your money, nothing else
