Ayia Napa is reguarded as 'the party capital' of Cyprus. Full of bars, clubs, sandy beaches and tourist attractions, Ayia napa is not just for the young! Im 19 and have been to Cyprus many times as a child and recently visited with friends. We stayed about a 20 min walk away from the centre of Ayia Napa as at night it can become very busy and fairly noisy. Ayia Napa is home to many wonderful beaches, the most well known being 'NISSI BEACH', this can become very busy and full during the day so make sure you head off early morning to ensure you get a place! Water sports are available at a price. Sunbeds/loungers do have to be paid for but at a cost of between 2-4 cypriate pounds.
Getting around Ayia Napa is very easy! Taxis are everywhere [Though arange a price before you get in ans they tend to cover up their meters and charge you what they want!] However during the day there is a bus that runs all the way through Ayia Napa at 70c per journey! This also runs from Paralimini----> Ayia Napa waterpark for the same price! BARGIN!
Water world is a must! Its Europes largest THEMED water park and has a wide variety of slides/pools and is great for a family day out, or if you just want to cool down somewhere other than the beach or pool. Cost to get in is approx £14-£16 cypriote, however vouchers for money off are available from reps, hotels, taxis etc and are worth getting!
Nightlife is a big part of Ayia Napa... many themed bars are situated around the 'square' full of PR'S offereing free drinks to get you into the bars! These are good offers and give you a cheap night so take advantage of them! The castle club is the biggest club in Napa, housing 4 rooms of different music. I heard it was quite expensive to get in, however if you go into a bar with a PR they normally give you free entry to a club of your choice as long as you buy a drink! Other clubs included: black and white, club ice, play, starskys, and the carwash. There are loads more but those are the main clubs.
For those who want a more relaxed/family drink, there is a bar oposite bedrock in the main square called 'heaven rock garden' this isnt as busy as most bars and they dont have a PR dragging you in as its something completly different. Prices are a tad more expensive but its worth it if you want a drink or chat without hearing R&B/Garage music all the time. They also have roughly 4 pool tables if you fancyed a game!
All in all its a great place to visit, has loads of fantastic restaurants and trips. Dont forget to pack your suncream though!!!

Advantages: Food is cheap, people are friendly, clubs are fantastic and plentiful Disadvantages: You'll get burnt very quickly! Drinks inside clubs still expensive
Advantages: Wonderful beaches. If you are into it - clubbing, raving, bars etc. Disadvantages: Very popular with the young - or if you are into clubbing/raving - None!
