The Azia Beach Hotel in Paphos. Basically, its a good hotel, but I think you really need the upgrade. We stayed in upgraded rooms which were great, and got us entry into a VIP lounge with a TV, dvds, and unlimited internet access. On our last day, we used the shower in a standard room - NOT AS GOOD! I feel that if you stay in this hotel, get the upgrade!!!!!
The outdoor poor was fantastic! Its always absolutly beautiful, clean, just ... ...bar. You can sit on stools in the pool and have a drink/ice cream - FANTASTIC!!!
There are pleanty of sunbeds, so thats never an issue. However, if you want the beds by the pool, they all go by about
8:30 am! The indoor pool looked great, but we couldn't use iit as it was undergoing essential maintence for our entire stay!
The gym was generally great. The equipment is good quality, but there's only 2 treadmills/crosstrainers/bikes, ... more

The outdoor poor was fantastic! Its always absolutly beautiful, clean, just the right temperature, and in the middle is the pool bar. You can sit on stools in the pool and have a drink/ice cream - FANTASTIC!!!

The gym was generally great. The equipment is good quality, but there's only 2 treadmills/crosstrainers/bikes, and they're often in use. While I was there, the Air Con broke and they took about 3 days to fix it, so that was rather unimpressive. Also, a treadmill broke, and they took ages to fix it. They are a bit slow to fix things in the hotel!
The food is ok for the first night, but after that you get sick of the same things over and over again! If you have half board, my advice is to take it at lunch time, and go out into Paphos in the evening. There's a great chinese called Phuket - the nicest chinese I've ever eaten. There are many good restaurants in town aswell. I advise you try as many as you can fit in/afford.
All in all, its a great hotel with friendly staff, though be sure no to be in a room with a sea view as they're all above the disco!!! The rooms looking inland can't hear the disco which goes till about 1am - BEWARE!!!
The entrance to the hotel is really stunning. There's a giant palm tree that goes through an open window in the roof. At the bottom of this is a beautiful wooken bench. There are many other great items in this loby. Also, 3 times a week theres live piano music in the evenings in the loby. You can sit and read, listen to the music and have as many drinks as you want - GREAT!!!

Advantages: Family friendly Disadvantages: Unheated outdoor pool not usable at this time of year
Just read the reviews already posted, which appear varied.
We have just come back from spending a week here.
As it's very early in the season the outside pool is too cold for all but the very brave! However the inside pool was brilliant. We travelled with our 2 children aged 6 & 9. The hotel is very Child friendly and the majority of the other guests were also families.
We encountered a couple of problems though. The third bed is a large sofa ... ...more than a camp bed! We had booked a Junior Suite with a large balcony with private Jacuzzi. Which didn't work!
However both problems were sorted very efficiently when reported to reception. A Single bed was put in place of the camp bed, and the maintenance guys sorted the Jacuzzi.
They also kept coming back to make sure that we were happy.
The Staff are generally very friendly, and made a real fuss of the kids.
The only additional consideration ...

Advantages: Brilliant Hotel Throughout Disadvantages: Area can be very touristy
This is a brilliant 5 star hotel, located 1 mile away from the town of paphos, the hotel is 50 meters from the beach. Outside the hotel there is a very large, exceptionally clean swimming pool with lifeguards walking round during the open hours there is also a tennis court out the front of the hotel aswell as bike for hire, and a pool bar, the food is top quality, twice a week there is a buffet dinner which has a huge range of food, and each morning ... ...eat your dinner on the terrace with evening entertainment, each night. The rooms are quite large and all have a balcony, the majority looking over the sea. The staff are all very friendly and will cater for your every need, if travelling to cyprus this is the hotal to stay in. ...

Advantages: none to think of but flight wasnt bad Disadvantages: star grading bears no resemblance to reality
My partner and I booked a "luxury" holiday with JMC to the AziaBeachHotel in Paphos Cyprus. Talk about rip off. The room was no more than 3 star and the view from our balcony, for which we had paid a supplement, consisted of a flat piece of concrete. We complained on day 1 - they offered us on the floor above - same view of concrete but higher. They said we could not go to a neighbouring hotel of the same star because there were no vacancies and then , when we got home, said they had offered us a lot !. The gymn was frankly dangerous - the hotel manager wanted advise on how to make it safe !! what a cheek - its not the passengers job to tell hotels that bits of rattling gym kit are dangerous. So much for the health and safety inspoections by JMC staff - a load of rubbish. Its 15 years since i have travelled on a package holiday and I ...
