I had a flight booked over the internet with BMI baby. And followed the instructions-get there one hour before,bring valid ID bring confirmation email etc.........
then this happened..................
• Confirmation showed departure time of 7am on all customers forms-inc a chap also refused and late comers. Amsterdam flight also had time discrepancy
• I arrived at 5.30am after getting taxi at 5am with am local taxi company.
• Got half way through checking in on desk 61 at birmingham airpot and decided to wait for others in my party to arrive first as we were going to a hen night and I didn't know tthem
• There was a lady on desk 60 but she disappeared when it got busy
• Theresa, Kirtsy and Kerry (people I was travelling with to my mates hen do)got there at 6.10 am they went throught first and got accepted after having to check luggage in.Half way through me with only one other chap behind me the flight closed
• Attendant phoned through with no joy and we had to go to ticket sales desk
• This is when other men traveling for day turned up they were genuinally late and took desk attendants details to later complain about time discrepancy and paid 93 quid for flybe flight leaving at 8.15am as couldn't wait for 3pm bmi baby flight that we could be transferred onto
• Another attendent got duty manager- Gerard
• Gerard said if the lady checking us in had contacted him we would have been ok
• She had only been there 1 week and shouldn't have been alone on the check in desk
• Time discrepancy confirmations showed 7am flight but BMI baby changed it to ten to without telling anyone
• Airport was closed due to runway lights been out
• They let somebody on with out of date driving license id
• Flight took off at 7.40am!
• Groups should not be separated
• Amsterdam flight missed as check in clerk closed check in early to help us!-no more flights so the chap from this flight was worse off than us
• Got offered vip lounge to save £40 on taxis traveling home and back-5 hours in vip lounge!!!!!
• Fridays flight at 8.15pm was cancelled-too many cheap flights maybe
I have still yet to complain. It was worse to me that they admitted so many cock ups on their half but it was me left to suffer! I will let you know the outcome. Just posted the letter-fingers crossed

Well it's the 25th April and I'd heard nothing so today I phoned them to find out where they were upto with the complaint. I was informed that the flight money had been refunded to the credit card of the person who made the original booking! No complaint shows on the screen and no letter has been received by either of us apologising for the mistake. Again I will keep you updated. I have confirmed that my friend certainly has received the refund and did not complain herself as I was. I have phoned again today and spoken to a Supervisor-although I should write really and I think that speaks volumes. Apparently you get any relevant refund from accounts then a letter of explaination/apology upto 6 weeks later. I know this seems backwards to me and a very bad method of customer service-unfortunately for them I work in customer service myself. So I am writing to them again to get them to explain their procedure to me!

Okay it's the end of May I've had my refund(and spent it) and I have now received a letter of apology-taking full blame for all the errors that many people experienced that day. They have offered to refund my taxi fee but I can't find the receipt!

Although I have missed the hen weekend(the wedding was fab) and still think their customer service procedures a little odd the outcome was in my favour and honest so I' happy :-)
