The Firstbus service is highly variable in its quality. I live in an outlying village, and the only bus to Bristol runs once every two hours. There seems to be some miscommunication between drivers and management as to the route-once a driver even stuck his head 'round, and asked the travellers "Which way?". Great way to inspire confidence. My morning bus, which is meant to arrive at 7.02 usually arrives anywhere between 7 and 7:15. They don't seem to have factored traffic into the timetables, and by the time we arrive in Bristol we're often over half an hour late. Althogh the buses tend to be clean, some mess is not unheard of, and if you've got a big suitcase, better hope you can carry it yourself-an old lady who didn't speak much English was going from Bristol to Bristol airport once. The driver told her to lift a heavy suitcase into a luggage rack. Fortunately, fellow passengers helped, and helped her off again at the airport, but the driver seemed oblivious to helping her himself.
