We first stayed in the hotel April 2005, and admit we picked the holiday for the low cost and not the location. This was not our main holiday just a short break in the sun. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned this year taking two friends with us.We found the hotel to be very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The dinning room could have been better staffed and a couple of the waiters were quite sullen, but in fairness they seemed to work from early morning until late in the eveining. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of variety to suit all tatses, the evening meal was often very limited due to the hot plate not being replenished frequently, the food was often barely warn, the cuts of meat were not the best, Every night chips were plentiful although a bit soggy. The salad bar was very varied so most nights I settled for a mountain of salad!! Our room was on the forth floor complete with a small balcony overlooking the sea, The cleanliness and condition of the decor and furnishing were well maintained. We walked into nearby Magaluf a couple of times, the shoe shops there were irristable for a shoeaholic like myself. We caugth the bus into Palma and visited the cathederal and harbour, we also took a pony and trap ride around the city which was really good, the cost was 40 euro's for the four of us and a must if you want to see the many side streets and buildings of interest. The Willows bar next to the hotel is run by a very friendly english family and became our reqular night cap haunt. My only complaint is that I left a pair of shoes in my room and e mailed the hotel reception twice asking for them to be returned via the post, stating that I would reimburse the cost, sadly the hotel did not reply. In summary if we choose to have a short break next April we would go back to the BahiaNova Hotel again.
