Advantages: All inclusive food and drinks, clean, tidy, not too crowded Disadvantages: Remote place
bar with sky tv for watching the latest football games etc.
We hired a car for a couple of days which enabled us to call in to Las Americas for some shopping and visit the Loro Parque, and also play a round of golf at a local golf course. If you didn't want to hire a car the hotel did have a complimentary bus to take you to Las Americas a couple of times a day. The hotel was situated a little out of the way but was ideal if you just wanted to have a relaxing holiday by the pool.
In my opinion it is one of the best All Inclusive holidays I have been on and would highly recommend the BahiaPrincipe in Playa Paraiso, Costa Adeje, Tenerife. ...
Advantages: Top class all inclusive hotel Disadvantages: Isolated from other resorts
As you drive down the coastal road past all the resort hotels along the northern coast you'll begin to worry like in that Thomsons (?) advert on the TV that you're driving past all the best hotels! Then as you drive through the less developed towns along the road you'll worry that you're going to end up stuck in some shack in the middle of no-where! But as you turn off the coast road just before reaching the town (village?) of San Juan and into the BahiaPrincipe grounds you'll wonder what all the worrying was about! As with the other BahiaPrincipe Hotel in Mexico you first drive down the Hacienda, a short road lined with shops bars and restaurants, the one at San Juan has a hairdressers, a jewellers, a snack bar, a disco, a 'hard rock' bar, the reps building internet access (for footy scores of course!) and various shops selling ...
Advantages: Clean and spacious apartments. Disadvantages: Too noisy and packed around the hotel area especially around the pool.

I didn't like Playa d' las Americas much but the torviscas and fanabe area were lovely. Some people hire a car to get around, but to be honest if you like walking then ten minutes walk to some areas of the resort is pleasant on an nice summers' evening and afterwards we always got a taxi back to the hotel. Plenty of live entertainment everywhere.
I would go back to Tenerife, but not to this particular hotel. I would prefer somewhere more quieter next time. ...
