I looked into other tour companies; Kuoni, Peltours, Hayes and Jarvis and a few smaller agents but found Bales offered just what I wanted; a hassle free holiday and visiting the places we wanted to see.
I booked our holiday on-line through ... ...Nearing the departure date we received an extensive information pack full of tips and advice, itnerary of the trip and also which was nice, a list of your fellow travellers on your tour with the names of your manager and Egyptian guide.
The tour manager met us at Egyptair check-in desk and flew with our group (eleven of us out of a maxium group number of twenty five) from London/Heathrow's terminal three and to Cairo International ... more

I looked into other tour companies; Kuoni, Peltours, Hayes and Jarvis and a few smaller agents but found Bales offered just what I wanted; a hassle free holiday and visiting the places we wanted to see.

Nearing the departure date we received an extensive information pack full of tips and advice, itnerary of the trip and also which was nice, a list of your fellow travellers on your tour with the names of your manager and Egyptian guide.
The tour manager met us at Egyptair check-in desk and flew with our group (eleven of us out of a maxium group number of twenty five) from London/Heathrow's terminal three and to Cairo International where we met up with reps from Eastmar Travel; Bales Egyptian contacts. After collecting our luggage from the conveyor belt this was the last time we actually manhandled our luggage about except for when it was delivered to and picked up from the hotel/cabin rooms. It was quite a come down when arriving back in the UK to have to carry our luggage out of the airport.
The tour manager also took care of all the tipping through out the tour but I would recommend indiviual tipping if someone has given you good service (especially like the staff we had on board our cruise ship who couldn't do enough for us). Transport, visits to the monuments, meals out etc were arranged very efficiently and any problems were external and conpletely out of Bales control; such as the Egyptian Air Controllers calling a short notice strike so alternative travel arrangements had to be made to get us from Abu Simbel to Aswan but it was not a major problem and it didn't affect our holiday.
I highly recommend Bales Worldwide to anyone who wants the holiday of a lifetime.
