Tourism is needs to be, and that's thing cannot separated from a human, and now tourist attractions that can be visited in Balikpapan,there are consist of :
1. The Crocodile Farming The crocodile farming is located in the Teritip District with a bernacle area of 5ha. This place have more than 3000 of crocodiles, and they consisting in 3 kinds, there are Muara crocodile, Supit crocodile, and Tawar crocodile. This place open to the public every day from 08.00 o'clock - 17.00. This location can be a vehicle using a two-or four-wheel drive, also with the public transportation no. 7, ± 27 km distance from the center of Balikpapan.
2. The Wanawisata KM 10 This park is located at Km. 10 Soekarno Hatta street ± 15 minutes ride from the center of the vehicle Balikpapan. In this park we can find a many kinds of trees and fruits thats we cannot find in anywhere ( that mean is a RARE vegetations ), there are also Sambar Deer farming (Servus Unicolor), and we can joging at joging track that we can find in this place, there also camping area and garden with a beautiful scenery. Garden tour is open every day and can be a vehicle with two wheels or four wheels, also available for city transportation route number 8 with a rate Rp. 1200,- thats as same as US$ 0.012, then what are you waiting for???
