Advantages: On the city Centre Disadvantages: No Parking Facilities
...On Saturday 17th October 1998, I walked down the aisle and Married my hubby. It was the happiest day of my life at that point. We had our reception in a hotel down Leith and then left the reception to go away and have a lovely night together.
We got in the taxi and I still did not know where we were going. It wasn't long before the taxi had arrived outside the BalmoralHotel on Princes Street.
This hotel is No1 Princes Street! The very first hotel you come to at the East End of Princes Street. It is a very posh exclusive hotel which I never guessed I would spend my wedding night in.
Hubby is a plumber/gas engineer and has done a lot of work in this hotel and decided this was the place to stay.
He had asked for a specific suite over looking Edinburgh Castle, but it was not available so we ended up in room 349/350 which...

Advantages: Lovely Resort and well equipped hotel Disadvantages: unfriendly and understaffed
...The Sol Balmoral is a large resort style hotel located in Calas De Majorca a purpose built resort on the quieter side of the island. I stayed there for 7 nights in October 2006 with my husband and two daughters aged 13 and 9 (at the time) on an All Inclusive basis.
Check In
My first impression of the hotel on arrival was that it was clean and bright. We had to queue at the reception desk to check in. I had booked a double and a twin room but was allocated two twins. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she tutted and grumbled. I said loudly to my husband that she was rude and her tone altered a little.
Rooms
The rooms were pleasant, clean and bright but very basic. Each room and had a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink which was clean and well kept. There were no facilities to make a drink, no telephone or anything else other...

...we were there). Both bar and reception areas are far too small for a hotel of this size. Ramp access is far too steep for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Parking is a pain, pay and display outside is busy and people sit waiting for spaces for ages - I used the balmoral multi-storey in the end, it was £4.50 (special hotel rate) for 24 hours and was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
On checkout, there were streams of people queing to complain to the Manager about various issues - some were justified, some were not.
I would recommend booking a Premier room (it is worth the extra), and never pay full published price. If you are a fussy eater, check the menu in advance as you may be disappointed (Pizza Hut is a 3-minute walk from hotel if you are stuck, and there are plenty of eateries along the front). If you are not happy with your stay, don...

My impressions of this game when I saw it advertised on the internet was that it looked like a completely different type of game that I'm used to seeing for the DS.

I lived in New York City for a few years, but had little experience of its hotels until after I'd moved away. My husband and I stayed in the Library Hotel in late August of 2004 for two nights. After spending a few nights in one of its sister hotels the... more
