When I needed to find some cheap Hotel accommodation in Nottingham City Centre a couple of Weeks ago, the Internet was the logical place to start my search. I tried the usual chains including Travelodge, but since my stay was less than one week away I quickly found that I was struggling.
Eventually I stumbled upon the Welbeck Hotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions.
The next thing that appealed to me was the design of the building itself. It is quite a large, modern looking, Hotel on five ...
Advantages: Good location, nice rooms Disadvantages: Service and Attitude of Reception staff, Entrance
I stayed here about 3 years ago on my first visit to Nottingham. The day started with a flight down to East Midlands and then a bus to Nottingham City Centre which took about an hour. Upon arrival, my friend and i looked for accommodation around Nottingham and even went to the tourist information centre to pick up a booklet of all the accommodation options in and around the city. It was approximately 28 degrees and we looked through the booklet many times and ended up walking around for two hours in order to try and find a guest house and bed and breakfast- which there were absolutely none in the City Centre. We almost gave up hope until we came across a place called Citylodge which was in the City Centre and claimed to be "affordable luxury". Seeing as we didn't have many options other than going to a hotel, we decided to stay here ...
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful :) Good location Disadvantages: Parking
*Introduction*
The 'Premier Travel Inn' chain is biggest hotel chain in the UK and has over 480 locations across the country at cheap prices, with rooms starting from £48 per night. The Premier Travel Inn at Nottingham has 160 bedrooms in total, on 4 floors. My boyfriend and I decided that we would go and stay in Nottingham as we have never been there before, and we chose this hotel as it was cheap and had a good location.
*Location*
The hotel is located right in the heart of the city centre so there is easy access to pubs, clubs, restaurants and shops. We arrived by train, the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station, or if you prefer you can get the tram from the train station for £1.40 each and it will drop you off just a few metres from the hotel.
The road on which the hotel is built on is very quiet traffic ...
