I stayed on Saturday 25 October 2008 because of its (reasonably) close proximity to Earls Court where I was attending an exhibition.
There was another similar rated hotel behind the underground station but it was reported to be very noisy and I thought a 10 minute walk from hotel to destination would be refreshing, which it was.
This hotel is on a busy main road on the corner of a junction, but inside the big old building you were not really aware of this. I think the hotel just had about 14 rooms in total, so not a busy place.

We arrived at Stoke Fleming nr dartmouth for a weekend away.
The Stoke Lodgehotel is a lovely hotel situated in a small village called Stoke Fleming which is on the way towards Blackpool sands.
The hotel is very relaxed with very pleasant rooms and a great view. There is a large chess set on the lawn, gardens to wander and also a games room downstairs, away from all the guests.
We ventured out on the saturday night for a meal at the Green Dragon pub which serves excellent crab sandwiches in the day but a beautifully coked meal in the evening. Afterwards we strolled back to Stoke Lodge where we went downstairs and played pool whilst enjoygin drinks from the bar.
Over all a very enjoyable weekend which was enhanced by the great accomodation in a lovely village. ...

It is located on the outskirts of the village of Lyndhurst in the heart of The New Forest in Hampshire. It is part of a chain of 4 hotels that come under the banner of New Forest Country House Hotels. This means that each hotel can be centrally booked and have the same cost and promotions. The guests have use of the other hotels' facilities but this is not that relevant as, even though they are all in The New Forest, they are not exactly round the corner from each other and anyway the facilities are much the same in them all.
