Advantages: Friendly Staff, Good Parking, In centre of town centre, reasonable prices. Disadvantages: Seating not that comfy!
...We went to Wagamamma for lunch, in Febuary this year (08). We found the resturant to be busy, but not over crowded, and with the bench designed seating, it was very sociable, although have to say it wasn't really comfy to sit at for a long period.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had no change for the car park and they happily changed a £50, which we were pleasantly surprised at!
The food was good, with a wide variety of dishes, which I was suprised at. There was something to suit most tastes, and the foos would be suitable for most children too! ( unless you have my daughter who is the fussiest person on the planet! )
Its situated to the left of the main doors as you leave festival place via Burger King. Car parking is good in the area so no problems there. We will return there im sure!...

Advantages: Pleasant to live, lots to do Disadvantages: too many roundabouts!
...star George Formby filmed "She snoops to conquer" in the town.
After the war satellite estates began to appear around the outskirts of the town culminating in the 1960's redevelopment of the town into a bit of a concrete jungle.

So, what of more modern Basingstoke?
It is a fast growing town. The 1961 census shows a population of just over 25,000. It is now at about 90,000 and predicted to rise to 800,000 by 2004.
Much of its growth is due to Basingstoke having been chosen as a London overspill town in the 1960's.
The borough covers an area of 250 square miles. It is a satellite town surrounded by villages and countryside...

Advantages: Not camp, near tube, not too expensive, popular Disadvantages: Can be hot, crowded, queues in toilets, not very girl friendly
...If you are gay, over 25 and not into camp, then Crash is the place for you. Situated under one of the railway arches near Vauxhall station, the entrance is in front of the Vauxhall tethered baloon. On a Saturday night the place fills with attractive muscular men who come to enjoy the heavy pulsating rythms of the two floors, and to meet each other in a highly vibrating atmosphere.Girls, with some exceptions, do not really like it. After midnight the club heaves with shirtless torsos, and sweaty muscles glisten in the light flashes until dawn.
The tunnel-like shape of the club gives it a distinctive layout, with a mezzanine bar at the end of the main floor. A chandelier hangs above the second dance floor, like in some castle's vault. A second mezzanine provides seats for tired punters.
In the middle of the night the temperature can...
