Advantages: value, quality, atmosphere Disadvantages: unlikely to get a table without booking at busy times
...I have been a regular at DAWAT for about 3 years. Its got its own car park with security guard and is the most friendly balti house. its a bit more up market than the the "glass on the table" places but yo odntpay up market prices. Its not licensed but there is an off license next door but one. Food is excellent - for main courses you can expect to pay around £5 each I especially recommend the chicken shaslik. The extras, nan and rice etc are also not expensive but only the brave with huge appetites go for the family nan. Desserts are a bit of a disappointment and mainly consist of the standard kulfi ( no barfi) and a range of Chines ( yes Chines) ice creams.
For a cheap and cheerful night out thats excellent value go to DAWAT - but if its Friday or Saturday night then do book and arive on time....

Advantages: Fabulous night out, excellent food Disadvantages: only a teeny tiny one - read and find out!!
...'t appreciate how serious I take my ciaoing!
The staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful and pleasant and there seemed to be loads of them! We had quite a bit of banter with him during the course of the evening.
We had a fantastic night in the restaurant, we talked and laughed the full time we were there - and whilst we are naturally gifted conversationalists (or just really mouthy Glaswegians); we felt that there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant which definitely added to the enjoyment of the evening. The restaurant seems like a popular choice with the locals as well as tourists and we counted three...

Advantages: Central England,Good for touring,Great modern city. Disadvantages: City centre not recommended for the motorist!
...Brum...a great place to visit, and to use as a base for touring the Midlands. A modern city, with many fine buildings, a vibrant City centre, great hotels, and good night life. Tourist attractions such as Stratford, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Drayton Manor Park, Alton Towers, Telford and Ironbridge, Dudley castle and Zoo, Merry Hill shopping centre, Evesham, etc are all within a day-trip distance.
If you like fine restaurants, especially Chinese and Balti, Brum really cannot be beaten! Transport to Brum is easy by Train to New St Station, by air to Birmingham International airport, or by road via the M5,M6,M1,or M42 motorways....
