Bangalore - The Garden and Pub city of India

Advantages: Plenty to see and do here....
Disadvantages: Poor infrastructure, and the pubs close before midnight!!!

BANGALORE or BENGALURU as it is officially known now ,is the capital city of the state of KARNATAKA , in INDIA...It is the fourth largest city in India next only to DELHI,MUMBAI(BOMBAY) , KOLKOTTA(CALCUTTA) and vying with CHENNAI(MADRAS) for the 4th place...

It is one of the fastest growing metros in the world, which means that it is getting more and more polluted...
Given a choice most Indians would prefer to settle down in ...
...and planned....

Bangalore has many advantages for anyone looking for a comfortable life on international standards..
There are excellent Restaurants, malls , well stacked super markets and a decent transport system, which is being upgraded all the time..
The new International airport comparable with any of the standard Airports in other major cities across the world...

AS A MAJOR TOURIST SPOT

...920 metres above sea level, Bangalore is the principal administrative, cultural, commercial and industrial centre of south Indian state of Karnataka. The city, which is spread over an area of 2190 square kilometres, is popularly known as Garden City of India due to its tree-lined streets and abundant greenery seen around. Having Fun in Bangalore

Advantages: Young, Cosmopolitan, Climate
Disadvantages: Pollution, Bad Roads, Dogs, Bad Night Life

...I have been in Bangalore for the past 2 years. It can be a nice place to hangout because most of the people in the city are young because of the IT boom in the city. Since the people are young and most of them are single they have a lot of disposable incomes which fuels more places to come up where people can have fun. Pubbing : Bangalore is called as the pub city of Asia because of the number of pubs situated. It is also home to the most famous ...

Bangalore--the erstwhile 'Garden City'

Advantages: Scope for IT and higher education immense.
Disadvantages: Overcrowding & traffic jams.

We had been to Bangalore in September'07 to spend a short vacation with our daughter & son-in-law. It is a booming metropolis with IT and sprawling with industrial activities as well. The city is dotted with plenty of shopping malls, international standard Hotels, amusement parks etc.,It is a paradise for jobseekers and is tending to become a hub for international air travel.Other big cities like Chennai,Hyderabad etc., and places of tourist interest ...
...City' is lost. Bangalore is well connected by Air and Rail to all the major cities in India though better Airport & Railstation is required. A new Airport with international standards has opened up recently. It is comparable with any superior Airport in the world and is fast becoming a hub. ...

Very bad service from Lufthansa

Advantages: i reached safely to my destination.. :)
Disadvantages: food not good, no good services at their call centres

That was the first and last time that i would be flying with Lufthansa....I had to make my India trip suddenly in the month of dec 2007..couldnt get tickets from British Airways or other flights to Bangalore, India. So booked with the Lufthansa Airlines..It was my first experience.. I booked in the economy class..Gosh it didnt have a tv also :(( Just imagine spending 8hours..I had to travel from Heathrow to Frankfurt to Bangalore.. Anyways the passenger sitting next to me was friendly and i could pass the time talking.. Well after 8 hours reached my destination. While collecting the baggage..to my shock i didnt find my bag..it was just a suitcase having 30kgs weight and just my baggage was missing.. I filed a complaint and they gave me 400 rupees compensation and noted my details. Well next day they called saying that they tracked my ...

City with an old world charm

Advantages: It has managed to maintain the old look
Disadvantages: Growth and change is fast catching up

Mysore, the princely city of Karnataka(India) is situated at a distance of about 150 kilometers from Bangalore, the Capital of karnataka. Mysore as a city is very well connected by Road , and Rail, and very soon will have an airport of its own.But the greatest advantage this city has is its close proximity to Bangalore which is connected to most parts of India and other major destinations across the globe. The beauty of Mysore is its old world charm, the old rambling houses, the great palaces of the once popular ruling Royal family the Vadayars. The weather is very pleasant all round the year .. There are lots to see here beginning with the Palaces. There are a total of 4 palaces out of which only a part of the main palace located in the centre of the city is in the possession of the existing Prince . The rest of the palaces ...

A Transformation

Advantages: The new Bangalore
Disadvantages: Pollution

Hyderabad is the fifth largest city in India. It is the state capital of Andhra Pradesh and is known for its rich history, culture, monuments, mosques, temples, a rich and varied heritage in arts, crafts and dance. I went in june and although this is the monsoon sesaon i found that this did not in the slightest prevent me from thoroughly enjoying myself. This is the second time i have been an my god has it changed. It has become the new Bangalore of India. The new "Hi Tech" city situated on the outskirts of the main City looks like something out of a Sci-fi film. The pure white buildings with space age technology just looks fantastic. The economic school is known world wide and easily competes with the best American university's. The temples are extremely beautiful and provide an insight into the past and also ...
