This Place has Been Touched By Midus & Turned To Gold.

Advantages: Stunning looking buildings and plenty of Thai history....
Disadvantages: The heat from the sun and crowds.

...on going to Bangkok in the near future. Wat Phra also known as the grand palace, is a huge part of Bangkok and Thailand's culture, so on our visit this was a must as I had researched the trip extensively and this along with a few other attractions was on the top of our list. Out of all of the attractions that me and my husband visited this has to be one of the best, even though I have visited the Wat Pho and the Wat Arun and thought that each was ...
...Wat Phra had stolen the lime light from the other two places I had visited, the sheer magnitude of the place fascinated me and I found myself more in grossed in the history and culture in this attraction, than I did at the other two. WAT PHRA & GRAND PALACE HISTORY During the tour of Wat Phra and the Grand Palace we were given the history of the place, it was originally constructed in 1782 and was completed and opened for the King Ramas coronation ...

Baccara Bar on Soi Cowboy

Advantages: You will never be alone!
Disadvantages: You will never forget this bar for his ladies :)

...a relatively new bar in Soi Cowboy. It opened about two years ago at the place of another entertainment area, called Blue Bird. Blue Bird used to be a place where customers could dance with girls, but was never very successful. The bar layout of Baccara is definitively one of the best in town, and has up to now as far as I know, not yet been copied successfully. The bar has two floors. The ground floor has a 'classic', well lit dancing stage. The ...
...second floor, girls wearing 'schoolgirl' outfit, dance on a transparent floor. Most of these girls will dance without panties. So it a common site to see the customers below extend their necks to get a view of the 'interesting' parts. The girls dancing on the second floor tend to be rather young. Some of them probably look young because of the outfit they are wearing. During its first year of operation, Baccara became very busy and successful. The ...

Siam Ocean World

Advantages: Lots to see and do, original, good value for money
Disadvantages: None

...were there we visited the Siam Ocean World. Location The Siam Ocean World is located on the first and second floors of the Siam Paragon Shopping centre which is pretty much in the middle of the City of Bangkok. Siam Ocean World The entrance consists of the ticket booths where visitors can purchase their tickets. The tickets vary in price depending on what you want to see when you get in. WE decided we wanted to see the 4D Theatre, the Glass Bottom ...
...Just inside the entrance to Siam Ocean World, there is a gift shop called Shark Shop where you can purchase the normal merchandise of key rings, paperweights and mugs etc. Just to the left of the entrance, there is an education room where talks are held, this is mainly for school groups. 4D Theatre. The film showing at the time we went was a pirate comedy film which was about 30 minutes in duration. You are given the 4D glasses on entry and your ...

The temple is worth visiting once because of its unique beauty

Advantages: A beautiful Temple worth seeing
Disadvantages: None

Wat Arun, Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok. It is open every day from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Because of its location, its easier to get there by river than by any other means. I have heard lots of times that Wat Arun does not deserve mention when talking about the best place in Bangkok. But I have personally loved its sight. Its called by some as the "china plate temple" . The silhouette ...

Offshore is the best pace for this awful Bar

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Unwelcoming

The Offshore Bar is next to a decent fish and chip shop on Sukhumvit Soi 23. Buy your chips and take them away is my advice. Far far away from the Offshore Bar. In my opinion the bar itself is a dim sad cave, and pretty grubby. With a dim sad landlord to boot, one well past his sell by date... "Ray." The staff are okay but they don't show too much motivation and aren't the usually friendly, warm and happy Thai staff that you would normally expect ...
