Advantages: Cheap entrance, lots to see and do, very scenic

Advantages: sells Euorpean Food, open 24/7
Disadvantages: Can get busy

You can find typical Western Food in this Thai supermarket chain - they even sell english tea bags and nearly anything else that you could buy in a Tesco in the UK, in case you had enough of Thai Food or want a quick snack (there is a good restaurant counter within the supermarket - it doesn get quite busy though). For first time visitors to Bangkok...

Advantages: can be found easily
Disadvantages: expensive, tourist trap

Grand Palace used to be the official residence of the King of Thailand, from around the 18th to mid-20th century. Now it's more of a ceremonial site, and can be a nice attraction for tourists.
