Fantastic all suite hotel in Bangkok close to transport systems.
Advantages: Lovely hotel with Brilliant views of the river close to transport links. Disadvantages: The hotel is very high not good if your scared of heights. Restaurant pricey and not worth it.

It is approximately 40 minutes by car from Bangkok’s new Suvarnabhumi International Airport. ... ...traffic.

The Amari Watergate Hotel Bangkok - fabulous!
Advantages: great for shopping, great customer services, large clean modern rooms Disadvantages: maybe a bit "out of reality" for those wanting to experience the real Bangkok
...what to expect about the Amari Watergate Hotel. We were offered a great deal with a travel agent with 2 nights for the price of 3, which for 3 nights in a 5 star hotel for £150 seemed criminal to refuse! After making the booking we then checked out the hotel online and it looked great. We were not dissapointed. The Amari is set in Bangkoks main commercial area with 3 of the largest shopping malls within walking distance (however, if walking in 95% ... ...there is only one. The Amari is in what is considered to be the "commercial" area, so it really is shops, shops and shops. There really isnt much going on of an evening, and you might feel as if you are not staying in the REAL bangkok as the area is very shiny and full of malls, however there is a great night market around the back of the hotel which throws you head first into the steamy humid bangkok street life. The traffic around the hotel is ...

Grand China Princess Hotel - Bangkok
Advantages: In centre of town, clean rooms Disadvantages: food was expensive
I found this hotel to be in a very central location which was good for us as we were only in Bangkok for three nights. The room had air conditioning which came in very handy. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the sheets were changed everyday. We were in the middle of the town and near to the Golden Palace which is a tourist hotspot, we were also near to the main town and all the shops were easily accesable. There were plenty of banks surrounding ... ...The night markets were a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the red light district (which is worth a look for the culture shock) was a 15 minute walk. There were quite a few tailors and other shops further away from out hotel which we could get to by a 'tuk tuk' car and this was a very cheap method of transport (about £2 for a retunr journey to out hotel and visiting around 3 shops) that price also included a tip. Bangkok is ideal for shopping. Our ...

Good standard
Advantages: Rooms, staff and price Disadvantages: Not right in centre so may not be suited for some
The hotel is lovely and service is good - I cant really comment more in details on certain aspects as I only stayed for 1 night. However from what I did see and experience I would definitely stay here again if I was going for longer.
Room:
The room was huge with two really good sized beds and very clean - the room had a TV with satellite, tea/coffee facilities, writing desk, table with chair and iron and ironing board.
The room seemed fairly modern ... ...through a modernisation recently with things like new carpets etc. The view was excellent as the hotel is quite high rise.
The thing I loved most about this hotel was the size of the bathroom - it was really big with a great sized shower and it also had a tub that was on the other side of the room. Also this hotel has triple bedded rooms but rather than like some other hotels where this will be the same size as a room made for two but with an extra ...

A tranquil experience in bustling Bangkok
Advantages: High quality modern design, luxurious and relaxing, very helpful staff, great value for money Disadvantages: Food at the hotel restaurants is not as high in quality as everything else
...will miss seeing the huge Pullman shopping mall that is next to it. If you are a guest at the hotel you receive a discount card on entering the mall and unlike most shopping malls where you can wander around them randomly, you have to follow a set route through this one so it feels more like you are wandering through a set of shops at an airport. This also means that you have no choice but to pass by all of the different outlets! All major high-end ... ...in Bangkok and found the Pullman duty free shops to be more expensive in every case. Overall opinion This is a fantastic, modern hotel with all the facilities you might need and great service from extremely attentive and helpful staff. If you pause for even just a few seconds anywhere near the hotel lobby you will have somebody asking you if they can help you with anything! The contemporary Asian style of the place with very comfortable furnishings ...
